DTU - Details Towards our University

I choose Computer engineering because I was quite interested in coding and tech-like things. there are around 64 phd scholars and around 30 faculty members including assistant professors and professors in the computer engineering department, while there are around 400 students in the computer department. professors are highly educated, some of them are from top IITs and some of them have done their education in foreign top universities and they are also good in practical knowledge as they publish research papers also. there are two types of exams mid-term and end-term. subjects with labs are having mid-term of 20 marks and others with 25 marks and end term of labs are 40 marks and others are 50 marks. there is almost 2 months gap between the mid-term and the end-term. if anybody wants to pass he needs to attend classes and study to be eligible for tests because 75 % attendance is mandatory.

there are companies like Microsoft, google, amazon and that give software developer roles as interns with stipends of around 2 lakhs and 1.5 lakhs per month. you need to make projects related to real-life problems and you must be good at dsa.

from semester 5th students are eligible to sit in internships and from the 7th semester for placements. there are more than 200 companies visiting colleges like Google, facebook, amazon, Flipkart, apple, Samsung, Netflix, etc. there are higher packages with more than 1 crore and the average package in computer engineering is around 24 lakhs. placement percentage according to stats is 98 percent. I will be joining a tech company after my degree.

fees are similar to IIT with 2,20,000 rupees per year and scholarships are provided by the college itself also and other government scholarships are also available like edistrict Delhi, NSP, etc. on-campus placement records are good as in our department there is almost a 98 per cent placement ratio with around 24 lakh/year package. there are record-breaking packages also in MNCs like Google, Meta, Apple etc. with more than 1 cr package.

There are many fests and the annual fest is Engifest which is organised in February month every year. there are so many fests like yuvaan, tech fest, innova, sports fest etc. there is almost every book related to the course in the library and books also related to UPSC are also available. classes are fully air-conditioned and there is wifi and projector available in every class. almost every sports pitch/ground is available like cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball, running track and chess etc. there is a website for students for exam preparation that is www.fresources.tech

There is a table, chair, single bed, almirah, and dustbin in every room and all other electric things like light, fan, wifi lan port. The mess owner changed a few months ago and now it is quite good as compared to before and the monthly fee of the mess is around 3500. the menu is also changed according to students. the registration process for a hostel is done by the hostel website and if you are an outside Delhi student you easily get a hostel but if you are from Delhi there are very less chances of hostel availability. you can easily get a pg or flat in around 200 metres radius and with the mess.

You need to give Jee mains exam and then register for Jac Delhi counselling on their website. the application fee is 1500 rupees using online payment. There is 85 per cent of seats reserved for Delhi students and 15 percent for other states. and reservation according to caste is also available in both cases ie. whether you are a Delhi student or an outsider. there are around 6 rounds and then spot rounds. I think they need to reduce the rounds because it is time-consuming.
