Remarks

Overall its a dream college which a student aspires for after his pain staking efforts of 2 years !! Also, Campus is very beautiful in infrastructure and deign.Even better then IIT-D xD.Its one of the happening college in Delhi. There are many events on daily basis. Our annual cultural fest ENGIFEST is the biggest fest in North India which is held in February with a footfall of 2 lac.

Entrance Preview

I gave jee mains in 2016 and got 120 marks. In boards I got 94.8% and my rank was 32883.I applied for JAC Delhi and got admission in Production and Industrial Engineering in DTU in the Spot Round.Spot Round is conducted on the basis of seats left.It was a miracle for me to land up with such rank in this prestigious college. There was no interview process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My branch is Production and Industrial Engineering. Its only in a few colleges in India. Its a descent course. To excelin it you should have knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.KDOM Labs, Metallurgy lab, Power Plant Lab provide enough practical knowledge. We have to do 2 projects and a training in 6th semester.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provides an internship in 6th Semester.

Placement Experience

There is a 100% placement every year. You can go either in technical line or non tech line.In tech you can go in Bharath heavy electrical limited, Oil and natural gas corporation limited, Indian oil corporation limited Steel authority of India limited Hindustan petroleum limited (by PSU and Private). In non tech you can go for McKinsey.

College Events

There are tech fests,Literary Fest,Cultural fest and Sports fest. Our cultural fest ENGIFEST is held in February every year and is one of the biggest fest in North India with a footfall of more than 1 lac.I was in publicity team and we did a great job by pasting posters in different colleges of Delhi University and Amity,Galgotias etc. in Noida.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for first year was 126000, for second year 137000 and will be increasing in third and fourth year.Yes, its quite high to afford :)

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, college provides a scholarship to students on the basis of family income.I had not applied in first year.

Campus Life

It is one of the Happening colleges of Delhi. There are many events on daily basis. So you get a bunch of extra co-curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel life in DTU is fantastic. There are 8 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel.Rooms are in sharing of 3 peeps in first and second year whereas single rooms are provided in 3rd and 4th year. Now college has another hostel/pg type facility outside the campus also.Hostel fees is literally very low.Such cheap hostels might be anywhere.Fees is 18500.Mess food in morning is very good and quality decreases till dinner xD

Exam Structure

Exams and labs are Chill. You sit in a very good and spacious examination hall on comfortable seats and it is fully air conditioned.Labs have all type of machines and instruments.

Faculty

Frankly speaking some of the teacher are very good and explains every concept in detail but many teachers are just completing the course and students have to study themselves from other sources to pass in exam.

GTBIT is a good tier 3 Btech college in Delhi

Likes

College societies are very active, there are events, hackathons, workshops and jamming sessions every week
Faculty is very supportive and guides on career, internships and courses
College location and connectivity is good, it takes 5-8mins by auto/erickshaw to reach the nearest metro station, also buses run

Dislikes

College Infrastructure is quite old, they are rebuilding the washrooms so its better than before
Placement and internship are decent, need more support and guidance
College crowd is mostly uninterested in career and participating in hackathons or career building events

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. Top Recruiters are Infosys, ZS Associated, Swiggy, JustPAY and there were about 250 offers in 2025 Highest package was 63LPA off-campus, 27LPA on campus and Average package is about 6-7LPA, most profiles are software developer About 60-80% of the eligible students got placed last year I would like to work as a software engineer for 2-3 year and then do MBA alongside job and then apply for management roles.

VIPS the Infra king ... the experiences you never want to miss

Likes

first of all i would say the infrastucture of the our collge is too good and even the best when we comapre it to other colleges in our university
second is its labs and advance tech lab for a btech student in vlsi domain we have a vlsi lab which have all the equiped tolls tahtare required for a good placemnt and same for other branches as well also in our campus there is super computer
third is the secuity the security of the campus is very good we got riif id card all gates are only when when the correct id card are shown out there and also thereare ample amoun tof

Dislikes

dislike is to be honest one thing i dislike is most is the ptm that after each mid sem there is ptm of the due to low attedence and even student got detained due to it
second is the campus area is too much smaller comapring other colleges
third is the canteen the food in the canteen is not soo good and there is no much option avaiable out there

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Dislikes

Faculty is not nice with the students as they does’nt give the internal marks for medical issues
The teachers judge you based upon your attendance
Placement scenario is not known so can’t say about it but still on my personal opinion there won’t be anything more which everybody is expecting

Placement Experience:

As no batch has been passed out from our college, the first batch of BTech placements will be out by 2025 So then we will know about the placement scenarios and on campus and internships, but for a B plan, one should always Acquire for the trending skills in the society, my plans after getting the degree is either I go for the post graduate or I apply to off campus in abroad.
