Enjoying my time at IILM University.

I always wanted to study computer science and so I decided to opt for BTech in CSE. While searching for colleges I came across IILM University and after getting several reviews I decided to go for it. The faculty of IILM is the best thing about it. All the faculty members are very cooperative and always ready to help you with your educational issues. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders and a lot of them are pursuing their PhD besides teaching us. We get exams twice per semester, one mid-sem exam and the other end-sem exam. The difficulty level of exams depends upon the level of study a student has done.

Our college recently collaborated with Infosys Springboard and NASSCOM. These provide certification-based online free courses to students and later internships too, based on the performance of students. There are also many stipend-based projects too that are provided by our university.

Placement cell if college is very active. From the 4th semester, students can sit for placements. A lot of good companies like Infosys, Wipro, etc. visit our campus. Almost 70-80% of students get placed every year during the placement rounds. The highest package received this year was 18L by a BTech CSE student. The average package goes around 7-8L per year. There are also very good internship opportunities available in college. Even a new course has been introduced for all the students which is mainly focused on developing skills for the placement rounds.

The fee structure of IILM is fine I would say. The tuition fee for each course is different, for example, for BTech in CSE, it is 1.5L per year. There are two types of hostel available on campus, one is non-sharing rooms and the other is 3-sharing rooms, both have different fee structures. Scholarships are given on tuition to students based on their academic scores. Also, each girl is given a 10% scholarship as a reservation criterion. During admission, each student gets an assistant counselor who ensures to help you with all your issues including financial assistance. Our college does provide stipend-based internship opportunities to all deserving students. The stipend varies from 5-7k per month.

Campus Life is just awesome. There is an annual fest that happens every year in which students from different colleges are invited to campus. There are also a lot of events, workshops, and seminars that are regularly conducted on campus. There are 2 big libraries and each of them is filled with a lot of books and journals. The infrastructure of classrooms is excellent. There are proper ACs, a projector, good furniture, board, etc. Sports facilities are also very good on campus. There are 2 badminton courts, 2 volleyball courts, 1 basketball court, 1 well-equipped gym, and a big ground as well. There are lots of social groups and clubs on campus too.

Hostel facilities are awesome. I have opted for the non-sharing hostel. When you come here you are provided with a bed, a mattress, a big wardrobe, a wooden chair, a wooden table, a wooden side table, a nice window with a curtain, etc. Mess food is also good. Hygiene and cleanliness are maintained with topmost priority and a variety of food items are also given during the meals. The registration process for hostel and accommodation is simple. When you finalize your admission here, you get a form for the hostel which you can fill and submit with the hostel fees.

The admission process was quite smooth. I took JEE Mains as an entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for BTech in CSE course is that you must qualify 12th class with 50% or above. It will be better if you can score above 80% in your 12th and a good percentile in the entrance exam you gave as this ensures some good scholarships. You can find the application form on the college's official website. Last year there was no application fee and the application form filling dates start soon after the 12th results are declared. As a girl, there is a reservation benefit of 10% on tuition fees which every girl gets. There are also some other scholarships based on your academic scores. The overall admission process is smooth.
