Remarks

The campus is very refreshing. The sad thing is the roads in Hubli.

Entrance Preview

I wrote KCET exam to get in this college. My rank was 4761. The cutoff for Electrical was 6981.So I was very much interested in the electrical and electronics course. I saw in many websites that this college was in top 10 for Electrical course. Thus I choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college is a deemed University. This helps us to create our own syllabus which was in sync with the EESA society. The college is very much focused on practice learning as there are courses like Vikas to help us.

Internships Opportunities

The college did provide an internship. We went to Kirloskar for internship.

Placement Experience

Our electrical department has an outstanding 96% of placement. In which 67 of 70 students get placed last year. Robert Bosch, Sony, Mercedes Benz were the major companies with average package of 6L.

College Events

There were a lot of fests. Sapphire,PUPA were major of them. The pupa is an exclusive event as a lot of ideas begin here. Make in BVB ensures your ideas by funding you. Faculties also help us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was 18000 RS (govt) and then the college fee was 24000 RS . It was relatively affordable when compared with other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did provide scholarship. But as I belong to General merit, I didn't get any

Campus Life

Sports. They were great. A lot of sports events were also conducted.

Hostel Facilities

I live in a room. The room rent was 3000₹ per month. Hostel were good. They were for sharing There is seperate hostel for juniors and seniors to avoid any kind of ragging. The hostel fees were relatively affordable as I heard. The food was ok.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and super seniors help us in lot of matters. There is a seperate room for the alumni to help us.

Exam Structure

The time table and the exams were perfectly planned so that there is no burden for any student. The classes will begin at 8. The exams were also planned perfectly.

Faculty

Faculty are great here. There is a perfect mix of experienced and young teachers both. They help us for all problems in our syllabus and there was a seperate counseling for each and every student.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

A good college for completing engineering

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn't choose this course it comes in my way though I applied for cs ec I didn't get that course as my cet ranking is high Student-faculty ratio 70:5. All faculty are well versed either they pass from IIT or nit or gold medalists in their respective colleges. To pass all know how is vtu same as other colleges which fall under vtu.
