Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

B.E in E &I is an interdisciplinary course that mainly has scope in the design, development, automation, and control industry. The class ratio is 1:60 now as it's an autonomous institution currently. There are 3 assessment exams before a semester. The faculty is more friendly and easily approachable compared to other departments.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students can sit for placements from the 6-7th semester. The students must possess 65% above in 12th grade and must have at least 70% cgpa with possibly no backlogs. The highest packages will be available and eligible for the CSE/IT students or for the students in other departments who are best at coding. Or you can also opt for higher studies by not signing the consent form to sit in the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are higher since it is an autonomous institution. There are some governmental scholarships and LMS scholarships for merit students. It will be challenging for middle-class people to afford the fees if there is no continuous monthly income in the family.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many Hackathons and coding competitions for students to complete. E&I department also conducts National Robo-fest which is a very magnificent sight and knowledge to acquire. The inter-cultural fests are rare sights. The Library is a big repository of knowledge and is typically housed within a large architecturally significant building separately. The sports department is available, but the participation and tournaments will not be big. There are NCC and NSS for the students. There is a sairam UBA as well to help people via community service. Academically, There is a big international forum for engineers called IEEE and each department has separate student branch chapters.

Admission

PMC cut-off must be decent(70-75%). You can contact the office or the department faculty for admission purposes. There are scholarships available for low-income families(can be enquired at the office).

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
