Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose the course of mechanical and automotive engineering because mechanical is a very good branch and this college is known for mechanical engineering in the entire Asian region. the faculty is also experienced and is working on the research papers every time. here students can get the opportunity to work with the professors on their research papers the professors are well qualified most of the professors have degrees and around the age of 60 years which shows their experience the faculty student ratio can be considered to be one is to 6. the teaching method of the professors is very good they explain every topic in detail the exams at the conducted work held timely they were conducted into two parts mid term exams and term exams the midterm exams of consists of 20 marks and end term consists of 70 marks rest 10% marks was dependent on the attendance and the assignments that was given to us on time to time basis.

Internships Opportunities

4

I got the opportunity to work in Yamaha Motors Faridabad and Indian Railways loco shed in Ghaziabad. Yamaha Motors I got to know about the assembly lines, about the daily work at Yamaha Motors, and learned the processes in detail. My task was to improve and suggest any changes to improve the system. I suggested a few changes like forced cooling of coolants and barriers in the cutting line to prevent injury which were appreciated. In the Indian Railways, I studied the maintenance of loco. We were asked to make a report on the processes in a detailed manner, which we submitted to receive the certificate.

Placement Experience

4.5

In the final year at the start of the seventh semester which is in the month of July you can expect the companies to start coming in generally the first company that comes in the camp for the campus placement is Bain and Company. Many companies like Mckenzie Maruti Tata Motors Deloitte EY PWC have come to our campus. Companies make an offer to 5 to 6 people. You can expect 90% of the students to get a place but if you are in the computer science branch then you can expect double placements. Doing our batch 1% got placed in Uber at an impressive package of more than one crore and the lowest package is being performed by companies like Infosys TCS which provides around 3.2 LPa. My plan is to do an MBA after my graduation because I feel I am perfect for management.

Fees and Financial Aid

Over the years the fees height is being there the peace is been gradually increased every year when I joined my college in 2013 the fee for a year was 70000 and when I passed out I saw that the first-year students paid FT fees of 1.5 Lakh which is twice the fees which iPad so I feel like the Hike of fees is very high in my college due to the high demand of this college. The college provides financial aid or scholarships to needy people but this is generally for the ST and SC students. If you are doing M.Tech in this college then you will get some statement which is fair enough to spend your month. During the admission process, you can also take a loan from the Bank.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest of our college is held in the month of February every year there are two fests cultural fest and Technical fest the cultural fest is known as Engifest and the technical fest is known as Techfest it is one of the best when we compare fest from all the colleges around Delhi NCR. Singers like Mohit Chauhan Sunidhi Chauhan Shreya Ghoshal have come to perform at our fest the library of our colleges very big and it has two floors there are high chances that you will find the book you are looking for in our library our classrooms are also well maintained there are no broken disc and the air condition Run every time sports and extracurricular activities I feel like our college is not that good because there is no much interest taken in the sports part there are many Facebook groups which are being made by the DTU people which you can join and get a feel about the college.

Admission

For eligibility you have to take an exam named JEE Mains I took this exam with the general category and got 26759 rank and got selected into the mechanical and automotive engineering branch. I cleared the exam from the general quota. The application form was submitted on the website of dtu and the fee was a thousand rupees and the application dates charted in the month of July. After submitting the fees you have to fill in the branch preferences. The scope of improvement I see is that the weightage of CBSE marks is given to be around 40% which is too high. I scored 162 marks out of 360 marks in JEE mains. If God is selected in the list then you will be covered and called for counseling please reach out on time if you miss the counseling then you will not be allocated a seat and the admission fees will not be refunded.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
