Course Curriculum Overview
As I have an interest in the research, I chose chemical engineering as there is a good opportunity in higher studies as well and the chance of getting a job at PSU is quite easy compared to other branches. The course is up to the mark but the lab facilities here are lacking a bit. The teacher to student ratio is 25:1 in every class a mentor is who is a teacher for a group of 25 students I have to say that all the facilities here are very highly qualified most of them have completed their education from IIT or NIT. Each semester has a total of 4 months of time. The exam questions are moderate.
Internships Opportunities
The companies which we go to for internships are mostly NALCO, HAL, TATA, and many others you get a stipend depending upon your skills. The college encourages us to take part in hackathons and competitions which are always going on and also the clubs help in upskilling us.
Placement Experience
From semester 7th students can apply for placements many companies visit our college but most of them are Vedanta, Asian Paints, Infosys, Ambuja cement, Maruti, and tata and this year Amazon also came for placement. The Highest placement this year is 48 LPA. Most students here go for either higher studies or government jobs but still, those who apply get decent placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee is 31500 for 2 semesters, and for the hostels, you have to pay an additional amount of 36000 if you wish to avail of the facility. There are many scholarships to avail. In 2022 companies like Amazon, and Vedanata came For recruitment
Campus Life
Our annual tech fest is SAMAVESH and our cultural fest is VASSAUNT. They are conducted around November and December. we also have ILLUMINA for sports enthusiasts. There are enough books in the library but the current size of the library is quite small. The classrooms have smart boards and have the size to hold a capacity of 80+ students. There are clubs for extracurricular activities may it be sports, software or automobile and the clubs here are quite active The best club is IIC which is affiliated with ISRO.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities provided are just ok not too good ,you can thin it as any other general around the country. The meals quality is fine . The registration process is at the time of admission you have to pay for hostel simultaneously an amount of 36000 it many have spiked . There are PG near the hostels like POOL CLUB and others
Admission
The admission here is done through the rank obtained in the JEE Mains exam. The counselling is done by OJEE. As I was a general candidate and did not avail any reservations I have some friends who had availed that facility and got admission here. If you have passed your intermediate from a state government school then you can get admission easily even if the rank is not that good.
