Likes

All in all i would say that this college will not be able to provide you good hostel life but you will not be disappointed.
Many clubs are there so you won't be disappointed.
Placements are good, though I would like them to increase.

Dislikes

Mess food is not very good and i don't like the mess timings.
Student crow is also not very good. Most are good but not all.
Although avg is high, the median is lower than what I would like it to be.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I didn't want to join CSE which I was getting in IIIT Bhagalpur as almost everyone is choosing CSE I wanted to do something different but I did not want to take risks so I chose this course.

Internships Opportunities

I am in my first year so I do not know much about internships but I think they are good. I think internship opportunities are increasing as I had talked with some seniors and they said that their year got more internships than their previous year.

Placement Experience

College placements are good, it was also one of the reasons I joined this college. As far as I know, the placements start when you are in 7th semester. The highest placement of this college was more than many iits which is good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this is a partially government college, it has very low fees as compared to other private colleges. I was about to join LNMIIT but chose this college instead as the fees of this college are less than half of it.

Campus Life

As of now, we do not have any permanent campus and we are residing in the JUT campus at Ranchi. College life is average, it is not up to the mark as compared to other government colleges but it is not the worst. The college conducts the Tech fests every Year.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faculty is very good and also strict when they need to be but otherwise, they are pretty chill. Mess is ok, I have seen better mess but it is not the worst, food is good, and cleanliness is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 31000 per year

Admission

I was admitted through CSAB counseling which was based on the JEE mains scorecard. It required at least 75% in class 12 and I got 85%. The admission process was smooth. I believe the cut-off for my course was around 96% in CSAB counseling.

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Placement statistics In 2024, the highest package offered at BIT Mesra was around INR 52 LPA. The average package offered in 2024 was around INR 17.5 LPA for BTech CSE, INR 16 LPA for ECE, and INR 11.5 LPA for EEE. The placement rate in 2024 was 75% for CSE, 60% for ECE, and 69% for EEE.

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.
