Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Electronic and Communication Engineering. I am deeply interested in this course, especially in Robotics, VLSI, and Embedded systems. Here maximum faculties are Phd holders and M.Tech qualified. All the faculty members are good and experienced in their respective fields. Exams are difficult and very strict as well. But one can pass by doing a little hard work.
Internships Opportunities
Every year every student is compulsory for the summer internship. the internship is offered by both campus and industries. I was involved in vlsi internship with vlsi expert industries. I was involved in the project of 8-bit ALU.
Placement Experience
Our institute has separate II-CELL for placement with an average package of 5.8 lpa and the highest is 28 lpa. Silicon provides placement in both the IT sector and core field. 83% of students got placed, with 805 job offers.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees for every course are 1.75 lakh per year. Previously it was 1.5 lakh. For AC hostel rent is 80000 and for non-AC hostel rent is 60000 per year. Canteen meal charges hike very fast. Recently I have done my VLSI internship with VLSI Expert Industries.
Campus Life
Every year our college conducts the annual fest ZYGON, tech fest NIRMAN, musical night fest RHYTHMNOVA, and entrepreneur cell organizes E-FEST. The library is quiet and has a large space with free WI-FI. Every classroom is provided with a blackboard and a projector. Silicon has various clubs like robotics club, coding club, sports club, social media club, meta club, Quiz club, zeal club etc. Silicon is associated with the Google Developer Society.
Hostel Facilities
There is hostel for both girls and boys. Meal qualit is good but it can be improved. Separate canteen for vegeterians and non-vegeterians. 5 days a week canteen provide non-vegeterian meal in lunch and dinner.
Admission
Through JEE MAINS and OJEE, you can take admission. From the JEE MAINS website, one can get the application details. Through OJEE counselling one can opt for their stream as per their rank and percentile. And full admission process is available at the Silicon Institute of technology.
