Remarks

This is a pretty decent college and you should consider this after the top10 nlus Only colleges better than Ils are the top 7 nlus,Jindal,Ip,nlud, clc, glc and other than that it is better than every other college out there. The reservation might have dampened it a little but it still is one of the most prestigious institutes of law in the country

Entrance Preview

To get into Ils you need to crack the mh cet for law,It has huge reservations for students of Maharashtrian domicile

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure in our time was pretty basic and has the lowest workload of any law college Now under the new curriculum a new subject has been added to every semester and the provision for internal examination has also been added. However there is no focus on research work and all you need to do is read the books of subjects to pass the exams

Internships Opportunities

No,Generally speaking the college does not provide internships However it does provide letters of recommendation and there is an internship cell at work so if you need help finding an internship you would probably get it

Placement Experience

4

Placement is pretty average tbh It is not as good as it used to be and it isn't as bad as it seems either The total strength passing out each year is about 500 students(ballb+llb) and most of them don't sit for placements The placement cell is of little help as the no. Campus placements is declining every year However more students are now able to procure PPOs and get their jobs that way so it isn't bad either

College Events

4

Almost every major event is celebrated in one way or the other by the various student commitees The best part about every event and celebration being the break night because Pune has plenty of nice pubs and you get to celebrate much of these drinking

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of the college is a meagre 40000 inr for Indian students whereas nri and foreign quota students have to pay a little bit more The hostel and other expenses are pretty much inexpensive too but the hostel isn't very nice and most students live off campus

Fees and Financial Aid

Most students in the college wouldn't need education loans to pay off the meager fee of 40000 inr and therefore the need for education loans is pretty low however the college does have partner banks willing to provide loans and also runs quite a few small scholarship programs and does dish out quite a few scholarships

Campus Life

3.5

The college has people from all walks of life from almost all places in India but the new reservation policy which has increased domicile reservation up to 85% is pretty bad and has resulted in almost the end of diversity in the college as most students are Marathi and therefore the college has changed from an English based learning to a Marathi based cultural college The campus life is pretty chill and it being in the center of pune you get to go out a lot The gender ratio is almost equal and thankfully doesn't resemble the engineering colleges

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is nearly good enough It is in dire need of repair and reconstruction but the college isn't doing so The girls hostel however isn't half as bad and was very recently renovated and therefore is pretty decent from what I have heard The mess food is below average tbh and most students avoid however it is an option if you are out funds

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni of this college are sitting in the highest places throughout every major law firm in India It has the third most senior partners of any college in India only exceeded by Nls and glc and that pretty much sums up how good the alumni from the college really are, however the contact with these alumni is pretty difficult to attain/maintain and these guys aren't very approachable

Exam Structure

The exam structure for our batch and the batches prior to us is pretty much the easiest there is as there are only three subjects plus only one exam for the whole 100 marks and that too is pretty lax ,However the same cannot be said about the checking at sppu

Admission

Admission process is pretty much what you would have to do anywhere except the procurement of nationality certificate which is compulsory and isn't required elsewhere. after the completion of examination you would be asked preferences for your college under mh cet The cut off list is announced that basis

Faculty

4

The faculty is one of the major points why anyone should choose this college The faculty in every subject is atleast decent and in some cases some teachers are amazing The overall experience with faculties being that they would engage with you if you try to engage them and most of them have pretty good command over their subjects
