Infrastructure of the college is well maintained and very good
College life is best. Nescafe, food court are amazing.
Library is very good and there are many books available to read

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because Biotechnology is an emerging field and it will be in demand in the future as many changes are occurring in our world and conserving our planet is a need of every hour. Faculty: Student ratio was 1:5. The faculty was highly qualified with Phd degree and the teaching method was good. Term exams were held twice a year and difficulty level was moderate.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Placement Experience

Students of last year i.e. last two semesters become eligible for campus placements. There are several companies like amazon, Patanjali etc which visit and there are several offers made to students. The highest package is 12 lakh in our course and the average package is 3 lakh. 85% of students get placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike was not too much, there was hardly a difference of 1000-2000. The cost to study is 240000. I didn't apply for any scholarship, financial assistance or job on campus. There is a Merit scholarship available for students who have 70% or above, a Uttarakhand State domicile scholarship and there are other scholarships as well if a student would like to avail.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted in the month of April-June every year. The library is one of the best parts of the University and there are many books and journals available for the students. Classrooms are well equipped with chairs, tables, fans, board and more. Sports activities are held on a regular basis, sports fest is held every year on the campus where many sports are included. There are clubs like Biotechnology club, Biogenrika club, Environment club, Sports club, Cultural club.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels were very good and hygienic. Facilities like a bed, chair, table, almirah, and mattress were provided in the room. The meals served were very good too and the menu was different for every day for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The registration process of the hostel is available on their official website and affordability is in range.

Hostel Fee: INR 88000 per year

Admission

The admission process was smooth. Eligibility of the course - 12th with 60% or above Application form, Application fees and application dates are available on their official website - https://www.uudoon.in Reservation benefits are also available on the official website. The admission process is easy and smooth. I would not like to suggest any changes in the admission process.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

Why it's the best...

Likes

They prioritize education and teaching more
Social interaction with others in college is appreciable
Lab is fully equipped for experiments or practicals

Dislikes

Campus of our college is not too good and small
Absence of ac in library and other needed areas
Quality of infrastructure of classes is little bit poor

Placement Experience:

When one enters the final semester they become eligible for campus placement and many companies offers and discusses with them. Companies such as IGL, Vib care pharma, AVANTOR and many others visits every year with offers.

Likes

I like the hostel security and there are no ragging
Good teachers and friendly. Helping us lot.
Good infrastructure and better environment..

Dislikes

Hostel food is not so good. Small hostel room

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester student are eligible for placement. There are various plywood industries and forest base non Timber industries and cricket industries. The highest average package is like 4.5 lakh per year.

Likes

I liked mostly the environment of my college. College. was situated in hills . So the peace , the environment, weather, education everything was perfect. The rooms , library, the field of our college
The education system of our college was good .I liked the most the education system every faculty was good and take responsibility of each students.the teaching was of faculty was superb . Every we understand easily. The also teach us on ppt .
Department of science,arts each department was available and a big auditorium for function parties was there. Each subject lab also there . lab instruments lso available

Dislikes

One thing was I disliked was due to cold weather or snowfall dec to february college is closed.
I disliked the book issue system it takes maximum time to get a book from my college.
The period was too long . Not only 1 hour it almost 2 hour classes.

I chooses the best course. Because my faculty was good I can ask him freely if I have any doubt. And it increases my interest in my subject. And the experiment we do make us progressive for our future. Yes but one thing I will say the duration of time period will be increase

Aspects that i like the most is academic program, faculty expertise, and support and infrastructure and the aspects i don't like is outdated and inappropriate facilities

Limited opportunity for socialization and campus involvement leads to isolation
Insufficient support for people with disabilities

I went for this college mainly because it is just little far from my home which is better because it near my house in just kilometres only that's why I go for this college and admission process for this college as they give scholarship of girls 5%. Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

I have applied also for Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran and mohali , Chandigarh University and Quantum University Haridwar I have got a confirm addmission in chandigarh group of colleges mohali but I haven't got admission there as it was far away from my home. Also I got registered in Quantum University by submitting 10000 registration fees but later on I have changed my college to Uttaranchal University anyhow even I don't know why even I was selected and fulfilled the criteria for all other applied colleges.
