- Lust green campus, it has a campus of 365 acres which is quite good and mostle green
- Cultural activites and clubs - it has lots number of clubs like desire for dance club and malhar for singing club.
- Fest - MOKSHA is famous cultural fest which obviously fabulous, we enjoy a lot here.
Dislikes
- Professor-Here professor are very strict towards attendence.
- City exposure- city is far away from college so you will not get any shopping mall , cinema hall near nit.
- Low level canteen- Canteen are not good enough, you will get only some selected items in canteens.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my interest and to get the NIT tag value. The student ratio is somewhat low as in my branch there are almost 30 percent are girls and then all boys The faculties are good and impressive. Almost most of all Ph.D. holders. (some of them are from NITs and IITs). Although there is a requirement for a more good teacher. Some professors are also very strict about attendance and file submissions. Here the exams are not that difficult means if you study one or two days before you will surely get a pass. Actually, there are 4 mid-sem and 2 end-sem in a year.
Internships Opportunities
There are lots of internships here many of our seniors get pre-placed offers from companies. A company like Oracle and TCS offers many internships offers. Here placement coordinator are quite impressive and provides all the requirements.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, you are eligible for campus placement and after the 4th semester, you are eligible for internship. There are lots of companies visited here in 2022 there are about 300 companies visited here the core as well as non-core companies. In 2022 the highest package was 60 lpa by software companies. The average package in the computer science branch is 15.3 lpa and for ECE it is 14.3 for civil and mechanical is about 8 lpa. Almost 100 percent are placed in CS and ECE, And 70-80 percent are civil and mechanical. My plans after getting a degree are to pursue higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on income. For income less than 1lac- full fee remission in tution fee. For income between 1 and 5 lac - 1/3rd fee remission in tution fee. No remission for above 5 lac. Scholarship and many for sc/st - full fee remission. The cost of living is low because you will get free access to books, and wifi.
Campus Life
The annual fest name here is Moksha and the tech-fest is Aayam held after 2-3 months of admission. NIT Agartala has a huge central library which contains thousands of books and journals. The big sports complex on our campus contains all types of sports like cricket, football, tennis, etc. There are also many indoor games here. Here are lots of extracurricular activities here like dancing, singing, etc. (Pixel, we can, malhar, desire, etc.) and there are so many groups there.
Hostel Facilities
There are two people in a room. A chair and table with one cupboard are provided. Meal quality is okay, you will get non-veg and fruits for breakfast and special meals are provided for some special days. First, you have to pay the hostel fee and clear all your documents by facilities and then you are alloted a room in the hostel. Affordability is simple. The locality is remote, city is 25km away from NIT. There is no need for a rented room or pg NIT provides all.
Admission
I am pursuing a BTech course in production engineering at NIT Agartala to pursue this course, you have to get qualified jee mains with good rank and have a minimum of 75 percent in class 12. All the application forms related to admission will notified on NIT-Agartala website and the jossa website. My category is general ews (economically weaker section) for the students who have less income having a slight advantage over the general category. They should be given some extra time to reach nit agartala during admission.
