i gave CET IPU examination and got 900 rank, friend refered me for this college and the mechanical engineering branch is only in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
the course structure is very good well focused on the topics and gate preparation also done side by side by many teachers, as teachers are very helpful we can ask for their help any time, they are not available all the time but even in lunch break they will teach you if are getting problem.
Internships Opportunities
Yes the college does provide internships only to students who secure a good cgpa in their end semester exams.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are good and every students gets to sit in the placements session till they get selected. There is a proper placement cell in the college which look into these matters and assures every student gets the opportunity to sit during placements.
College Events
There is a cultural festival of JIMS college called ZEST which our college holds and celebrate every year in auditoriums and students get awarded who participates and win the contests in this event. many other technical event also held in our college after every few months.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is feasible though it is a private college with AC facilities in all classrooms. The classes are equipped with Air Conditioner and smart board also. The fees for B.Tech is Rs 92,000 for 1 year which comes down to Rs 46000 per semester at our time, but now the fees increases to 1lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship and loan facilities are provided to economically weaker students. Redemption of some % of fees is provided to them. Also you can pay the fees in two equal installments in a months gap.
Campus Life
Our campus life was awesome, sports ground in our campus area is very good, many teachers also join us to play. having fun with friends in our break time was awesome. if I talk about gender ratio then there is 50:50 gender ratio in our college as there are many courses and branches available. birthday is also celebrated in the cafeteria by many students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are quiet good and economical as well. The rooms are double sharing rooms with a cooler facility. The mess provides 3 proper meals with salad. Also snacks are provided in the evening.The food is tasty and quite hygienic as well.
Alumni/Alumna
An experience with our seniors were great they also help us in arranging important notes and share question papers of previous years.
Exam Structure
We have a lab session of 3hrs. All the labs are well equipped and each lab has a lab assistant which looks after the equipment and working of lab. The frequency of labs is once a week and one experiment is carried out in a session of 3 hrs.The lab assistant explains the experiment to be carried out and checks the practical file the next week.
Admission
Our college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University so to get admission in any college affiliated to IP university you need to give a paper which is called CET (Common Entrance Test). After the results of CET are out each student gets a rank. Depending on the rank each student gets a college. There are different cut offs for different colleges.
Faculty
The faculty is quite helpful. All the queries are solved. The college gets over at 4:20pm but the faculty is available in college till 5pm. All the faculties have done M.Tech in their respective fields and the Head of Department have completed PhD's in their respective fields
