Likes
- The huge green campus. Getting to see peacocks is pretty common. The vibe is great.
- Sports facility. You can go and play any sport of your choice anytime.
- Exam system. Students are not overloaded with work
Dislikes
- Faculty. They just rush the syllabus at the end, except a few of course.
- In some labs, the work is rushed. Completion temperament is shown by faculties.
- The syllabus being followed feels outdated
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally chose this course because of my interest in electronics. The faculty hair is quite average, not great. Academics is something you will have to take charge of. The teachers are highly qualified and are interested in teaching. Of course, a few exceptions are always there. Twice in a semester, mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. They are not very hard to pass but they are also not very easy.
Internships Opportunities
All the big companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft visit the campus and provide internship opportunities. They mainly offer SDE roles. As an intern, you are assigned small projects under a senior. Your learning and growth should be the main motive of the internship. Getting an intern is not easy, especially in this time of recession.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements around the end of the sixth semester. As of the recession, companies are visiting the campus, but the offers are not as exciting as they used to be. Also, getting an offer is not easy either this year. Around 25% of students are placed till now.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is comparable to IIT's. However, the course will not be as value for money as in IIT. The fee is increased every year. Scholarships are available for economically weaker students. You can also avail of government schemes. Details are available online.
Campus Life
Social life is nice at DTU. Almost every kind of society is there, be it music, dance, photography, social work, and so on. You can even start a society of your own. The library is huge. A lot of books are available. The classrooms are nice, projectors are there, and air conditioning is also there.
Admission
Admission is completely based on the CRL of JEE mains rank. JAC Delhi organizes the counseling. The process is completely online and quite simple. After allotment of a seat, you have to visit the center for physical document verification. All the cut-off details are available online.
