What Students Say

Likes

I like infrastructure, faculty, helping nature of faculty members here.
I like my classmate and other branch classmates.
I got very good friends here of my and other branch.

Dislikes

Here many professors give less marks in exams.
I had been make fun of by my Schedule caste.

Course Curriculum Overview

I got civil engineering at Harcourt Butler technical University. I opt for this engineering field because I am interested in this field, I want to start my own Business in this field after I graduate from this branch.

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Campus placement at Harcourt Butler Technical University is good for computer science engineering and information technology. The average package is about seventeen lacs per annum. And for other branches, the annual package is less as compared to CS or IT

Fees and Financial Aid

Here at Harcourt Butler Technical University, the academic fee for second-year students is 127500 and 36000 hostel meal fees 20000 for hostel room fees and 3750 for Dean student welfare fees. I didn't get any scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

Life on campus is quite good. Here at Harcourt Butler Technical University, various fest runs and many celebrities also come every year. In my college, there is a central library named Tagore Library. It has lots of books.

Admission

The admission process was as usual as it would always be, not very different. One has to qualify 10+2 examination with a minimum of 75 per cent while for SC/St candidates there is a relaxation of 65 per cent to attend the JEE Main examination. There are six attempts available for JEE main examination which we can give continuously for years after qualifying for 12 board examinations. After clearing the JEE examination, one who has passed out or has cleared their category cutoff marks in the JEE main examination is eligible for the JEE Advanced examination for IITs. After qualifying their category cutoff in the JEE advanced examination they run for counselling to get admission into different IITs around India. Those who qualified for JEE advanced but didn't get admission into IITs in their desired branch came back for counseling which is based on JEE main rank and number. For NIT and IIT only JEE main rank is required, here JEE advanced rank doesn't work. And finally, they got college

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

My collage identity

This college is the 2nd best B.Tech college in UP after IIT and its placement is also good. One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. Since my rank was 10 lakh, my admission also happened in the sports round....Read More

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
