What Students Say

Likes

Good teachers who always encouraged students to best in there life
Syllabus according to need of students.like various compitition exams

Dislikes

High fees of college which demanded by college
Internal exam time is not according to time..it taken anytime without knowing the need of students

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course BA according to my plan. I heard about the college and its renowned name. particularly for the course of BA. A brief about faculty: in the college the students selected for a specific subject is limited. therefore students must score maximum marks in last exam. Approximately 35 to 40 students were chosen there..for each subject. Qualification:12th pass The semester exam is in four months we can clear that exam on that day. its very simple

Class Size: 350Course Fees: INR 6208 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year, we have to pay 6500rupees..but the fees depend upon category so SC and ST students have to pay a minimum than open category students. In the college, we can get more scholarships like Kamava aani shikhva, NSP scholarship, and mahadbt and others scholarship.

Campus Life

In Ferguson College every year the annual fest is done there. it is always in January month. the college has a big library. there are many books according to the needs of the students There have also been encouraged sports like cricket and other games. In college, many social activities have to be done by the students so students have to put effort into better work for their skills and others also.

Admission

I was admitted to Ferguson College in my first year. eligibility criteria in Ferguson College are according to the marks which we got in the 12th board. there are categorised students selected as per the university circular. we can get the application form on the college's official website. we can demand and get information about the admission process information in the number provided on the official website. the admission process started approximately in July month. Implementation of reservation in seats the students selected there as per their category. therefore we can get the benefit of reservation. According to me, the college is one of the best colleges in Pune providing education. I think there is no need for improvement in everything. In college admission process is very simple. we have to go directly to the website fill out the form and submit the documents which are required by the college.

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

Remarks:

For a person who into music production this is the best course and College but any other music field consider other options. The administration is too poor and are harsh on the students but the teaching faculty is supportive.

Arts in Fergusson College

1. I secured more than enough percentage to get the college of my liking, Fergusson College was always my first choice, although I had applied for other colleges such as Modern College, MIT University, etc. I chose FC due to its reputation and future prospects. 2.No, I was not rejected. 3. The admission is not that hard . You get the admission in the Undergraduate courses on the basis of your percentage in 12th class. The cutoff is high for general category that requires you to score for 94% and above , whereas it is bit relaxed for special category that needs 85% and above....Read More

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

I had heard a lot about Fergusson College in my school time, somewhere deep down I had always wished to come here and study also i did my bachelors from the same college so it was obvious for me to choose this place . Also FC has amazing faculty members which made me choose it. I gave the entrance test on an online platform for my masters course got second in the list and went straight for the admission process within a week after results were out. I had applied to Modern College as well and got my admission confirmed also but because i got into FC I did not do any further process for modern college. The admission process goes smooth , once the results are out we are called to the college for document verification and regitrations, then fee payment and college starts. The eligibility is that you dont hold any backlogs from your bachelors degree....Read More
