- The placements for design is comparatively lower as the department is new
- Campus is very big that sometimes cause a problem in travelling in summers.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is planned very well and the topics are very nice and detailed. The first and second sem are planned nicely according to beginners level and the faculty are so decent. There are many assignments though, almost everyday we get 1 assignment. But thr faculty are very helpful and you can reach them at any point
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities available. Also the groups are made on whatsapp from the sem 1 and many opportunities are available for those whose are interested to learn. Also the socities provide alot of exposure for events and competitions. Also the end sem projects are also great for portfolio development.
Placement Experience
Placements are good for btech and even some for bdes students. But many students opt for off campus placements for better opportunities, also as the design department is new its slowly growing and getting better. Also some student opt for Mdes after completing bdes or mba for other opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees taked upfront is about 2.5 lakhs during the admission process we had to bring demand draft. Then sem by sem you have to pay the rest though their website. Totally fees round up to 10 to 12 lakhs without hostel and mess charges. There are also scholarship option but not directly from the college.
Campus Life
Campus life at dtu is amazing, every festival is celebrated very nicely and specially in design department. Also the mini oat and oat is also a vibe after the classes. The library is very big with huge collection of books fully ac. And the sports facilities are good as well with big ground and gym is available too. The classrooms are well maintaned and good as well for design department.
Admission
The enterance exam for most bdes colleges is Uceed. Main colleges like iits, iiits, dtu, nsut etc and other known private colleges providing design courses take admission through uceed exam. Then there was 3 rounds of admission process in dtu. Rank list and selected students are shown on there website. The admission process was very smooth from colleges side.
