- Beautiful and large well maintained lush green campus with many parks, sports complex, badminton court, cricket ground, lake and beautiful OAT
- Placements are quite nice. The no companies visited is even more than the IIT delhi or any of the college in delhi.
- Large library with variety of books and seperate shelves for each subject makes it easy to find a book. The library is 3 storied building and has enough space to accomodate thousands of students at a time.

Course Curriculum Overview
DTU is a well-known old college. Also, the IT branch has decent placements. Last year the average package for IT was 24.22 lacs and for cse it was around 24 lacs. We have 6 subjects in each course, out of which one is elective and one has the option to choose as per your choice. In one batch we have around 65 students and there are 3 batches of IT in total. For cse there are 7 batches and the strength of each is around 65. Faculties are well qualified. Most professors are phd while some teachers are pursuing it. In a year there are 2 semesters and in each, we have the mid-semester examination and end-semester examination. There are labs and practicals, vivas are mostly before the end sem examination. The exams are not that hard. One can score 9 cgpa starting 1 month before exams. To pass in exams is not a big deal. Also, the curriculum is less hectic compared to other colleges like IIIT Delhi and NSUT.
Placement Experience
Dtu has nice placement records. The average package for cse was around 24 lacs per annum and for it, it was 25.22 lacs per annum. The highest package for btech was around 82 lacs per annum. The overall average package was around 15 lacs. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. A total of around 1990 offers were made and around 1821 students were placed out of 2684. Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Goldman sacs, Amazon, Flipkart, siemens, etc. visited the campus. The placements are good here. If one works hard can get a decent package easily. Also, the cgpa, projects, and coding skills matter a lot for placements. The percentage of students placed was around 70 percent. My plan after the degree is to work for a nice company with a decent package and to own a startup.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is not high. It is very less in comparison to IIITs. Also, there are not many expenses if you are a day scholar. In case you take a hostel or PG then the cost for rent, mess, and electricity charges can be from 1lac to 1.8 lac per year. There are many scholarships like the Dell scholarship, dtu financial assistance scholarship, and also from the state government which is merit cum scholarship. Also, the state government provides scholarships to SC, ST, and OBC students. There are on-campus placements every year. Last year the average package for IT was 25.22 lacs and the overall average package was around 15 lacs. Also, there are internships and the percentage is around 33% who get internships. Also, there are off-campus internships and placements. Also, one can apply for a bank loan and can pay easily after 4 years and his placements.
Campus Life
College life at dtu is great. There are several societies and clubs and one can get into the societies related to his/her interests. The annual fest in dtu is Engifest and it is held in mid-February and lasts for 3 days. The tech fest is Invictus and there is no specific time when it is held. There are several books in the library. Dtu has a huge library with 3 floors. Also, there are separate shelves for different subjects. The classrooms are well-maintained and cleaned. Dtu is fully air-conditioned. The complete campus is equipped with wifi. For sports there are arenas. Also one can join a team in sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc. There are different courts for each. The sports campus is spread in around 30 acres, which is more than the campus area of many colleges in Delhi. There are various societies like Aavahan, vibe, aims, inferno, etc. There are clubs and associations like the art association, DTU choir, etc.
Admission
I gave Jee mains exam twice a year, the first one on 2 Feb 2023 and the second one on 6 April. I got 95.38 percentile on the first attempt and 97.79 percentile on the second attempt of April. Hence my final percentile was 97.79 and my rank was 25531. Eligibility for this course is 75% in boards and clearing course cutoff by NTA. After the result of Jee Main, I registered for JAC Delhi counseling in the first week of June, which is available on JAC Delhi's official website, and the application fee was around Rs 1000. In the first round of this counseling, I got IIIT Delhi cse and in the 2nd round, I got IT in DTU being ews category. During 1st round I got my documents verified at IIID. The cutoff for the general category was 90.77 and for ews category, it was 75.62. For obc, sc, st, and pwd it was 73.61, 51.97, 37.23, and 0.0013 percentile respectively. There was a benefit for ews category as I got DTU IT(information technology) a lower rank as compared to general.
