Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

To be honest I wasn't really sure that what course should I choose but i have listened that after doing btech you can go in multiple lines that's why and also i have a kink for computers so I just went for it. I purchased an online course from an app esaral as during my 11th and 12th most things went online due to covid.Teaching faculty and staff was very good in it like speaking about the teachers they were themselves iitian and many students of theirs has made it to iits nits dtu nsut. Esaral offers personalized learning in which each student enrolled can study at their own pace any chapter or concept anytime just sitting home from the app which contained recorded lectures of all subjects. So their was nothing like batch system and each student can study individually. The teaching content was very good and included visualisation of concepts. We r given chapter wise level wise tests which we HV to give after chapter completion which were according to jee level and included pyqs

Fees and Financial Aid

I am enrolled in dtu and here fees structure is that you have to pay 2,30,000 rupees(average) per year for btech and here each year the fees increases by 10,000 starting with 2,29,000 in 1st yr. So total fees which goes in course purchasing only is approx 10 lakhs. But scholarships are there to assist financially backward people. Like there is a cut in fees for students whose parents annual income is less than a required bar. Also other scholarship r offered if you have some achievements and also if you are of (sc,st,...) Category. Now in dtu top level tech companies for placement and many deserving students are able to take good packages. also internships are offered where students are able to learn and gain good experience working with other people

Campus Life

4

Campus Life is very good here as many fests are held time to time and many events related to social awareness or competitions are there. Our biggest cultural fest held annually is engifest which is north India's biggest fest (more than iits). And the tech fest held is Invictus. They are held in month of Feb. Dtu has a large library comprising of all branches books , journals and tech magzines. It has a collection of more than 2 lakh journals and books. Related to classrooms they are nicely made but in some classes the board is not proper rest they are good. Dtu has a very good facilities of sports like all sports ground there except pool. And there interbranch and intercollege competition in all sports. There are so many societies in dtu that you can't even count related to tech, finance, communication skills, coding, environment working, social welfare and all things you can think of. Finally there is fresources website run by students which has all pyqs papers assignment for students

Admission

I chose to btech in computer science(engineering) for which I gave jee mains and further jee advanced exam which are competitive exams for engineering. To be eligible for jee mains you should have pcm as your stream and passed class 12th with 75% in all 3 subjects in board exam(for general candidates). For jee advanced you must clear the cutoff in jee mains which is released along with result after 2nd paper of jee mains. The cutoff is different for different categories (Sc,st etc). The application form, fees, and other details of exam is available on jee mains website which they release at the desired time(ideally in November or December) so keep checking at the site jee mains.nta.nic.in There are 2 papers in jee mains(ideally one in jan and other in April after boards) and the best of 2 is taken into consideration finally. Regarding improvement I want that the nta agency should be more responsible regarding releasing dates timely so that students are clear when they have their exam.

Other Applied Colleges

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information Technology)

o it is easy to commute and secondly I wanted a college which is more chill 64

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mathematics and Computing)

As dtu is more close to my house so it's more convenient to commute and secondly I got to know dtu has more relaxed scene in studies and all which I wanted while nsut is more strict in attendance and all also dtu has more good alumni base which is appeali

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
