- There is no academic pressure compared to other colleges.
- Fests are really good. You'll have a good time meeting new people and have a lot of fun.
- Sports facilities are good you can play whatever sport you want.
Dislikes
- Faculties are not that good imo though if you are focused and determined enough to study that wont be a problem to you.
- Semester 1 and 2 felt too rushed and exams were too frequent.
- Indoor badminton court is too crowded sometimes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriclum has improved last year only and now we have more tech oriented subjects in the first year itself like WebD etc. Student ratio in Computer Engineering is around 15:1. Some faculties are good but most of them are too strict and don't teach that good as well. Most of the students rely on Youtube and Freesources for exams. Midterm and Endterm exams occur within 1.5-2 months gap so we've decent time for preparation. Past year papers(available on freesources) are very helpful and it's not very difficult to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know much about the fee hike but i guess it was around 20-30k from last year in my case. About the scholarship programs you'll get a notice on the official dtu website when it will be available. Financial assistance (education loan) is also provided from the college bank or if you want you can also apply for it from any other branch as well.
Campus Life
For the Annual fests we have Aahvan(Spors fest), Yuvaan and Engifest (Cultural fests) around Jan-Feb, Invictus(Tech fest). Library is quite big but i recommend to get your books issued at the start of the semester as some books might be unavailable due to high demand. For sports, you can get equipments issued for every sport though its preferable to bring your own equipments for badminton etc. We have 3 tennis courts, 4 badminton outdoor and 3 indoor courts, 2 basketball and volleyball courts each, 1 cricket and football ground each and one kabaddi outdoor court. For the social groups or societies you'll be updated once you join the whatsapp groups.Some popular ones are Vibe(Dance society), Cultural Council, AIMS and MACS (tech societies) etc. For academics the only website you'll need is freesources.
Admission
Firstly we had to fill our jac application form and wait for seat allotment then if a seat is alloted there is a document verification round in the respective college you've been alloted. After the verification is done you've got two choices either to accept the current seat or to go for further counselling rounds if you're expecting any upgradation in your branch or college as per the your preference list.The past year cutoffs for your respective category are available online on websites like Collegepravesh. Do check them out to get a rough idea for your preference list preparation. Those who want to avail any reservation benefits must keep all of their specified documents(hard copy) with them at the time of physical verification.
