Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course of DTU - ECE branch is quite good, it focuses on overall developement of the student and tries to give the exoerience of how it is actually in the industries. Faculty are generally very polite and Helpful , but you need to be attentive in class and give attendence to have a good impression else it can affect your overall scores. I chose this course as it had scopes for both Core Placements and Technical Placements , which makes it versatile , but also it needs much more hardwork as you need to prepare for both. For the entire ECE branch its divided into 4-5 Sections each having 62 -65 students and 1 faculty member for each subject. The teachers are highly qualified , from IITs , NITs and other pretigious intitutes with a lot of teaching experience, But you totally cant rely on just the faculty you need to reach out to them yourselves. Term Exams were like in 1.5 months , and mid terms were compared to a bit difficult than end terms but practicing pyqs will help alot.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like - Google , amazon and other big shots start coming around August and there are genrally three rounds - General Coding Round , Interview and HR round , after this the intership is decided and and stiped along with it depending ont eh work quality you provide to the company , based on your participation and your impact on the particular firm.

Placement Experience

4.5

Technically many students start getting placed from 3 rd year like they get the offer letter, and can join as soon as they complete their course. There are a lot of companies that visit here , including some big shot names like AMAZON , FLIPKART , GOOGLE , ACCENTURE etc. Number of offers for ECE branch is like 200. The highest package of students from ECE branch in tech placement was like 57 L -60L and core placement to about 30-35L. Average goes around 15-20 L. Percentage of student getting placed is rather high 99%-100% in CSE branch to about more than 90% in ECE. My plans after getting degree is to get placed from incampus placements and then contnue work for sometime and then pursue Masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The basic fees for my course is around 2,18,000 with a raise of 10-15k per year. So approximately its around 2,30,000 - 2,35,000. There are a lot of scholarships , based on your performance and need. Need based scholarships can really help out a lot. There are scholarships for SC, ST, OBC belonging to particular areas or having net family income less than a specifies bar.

Campus Life

4

Life at Campus of DTU is something you need to experience, with loads of fest, functions and sport events. Annual fest of DTU is Engifest , the most popular one , which includes a lot of things for innovation to fun to food etc. Not just these there are many other events like , Food fest , literacy club fest , invictus , aarambh etc. Overall its gonna be fun throughout the year. You can find wide varieties of books in the Library , and can issue it for as long as you want, with proper procedure. You wont need to buy single book as u can easily get pdfs and issue them from library. Classrooms are well equiped with Projectors , White Boards , AC. There are a lot of sport activities in the campus , name any sport and you can find it in here - football , cricket, badminton , volleyball, TT etc. Rather than sports there are a lot of clubs you can join focusing on different things like - Dance (VIBE) , Game theory (IGTS) , Fitness (CALISTHENICS), Business (business Bulls) etc.

Admission

To get into DTU I gave JEE Mains and JEE Advance. One is eligible to give JEE Mains if he took PCM in 11th and 12th standard. There is no particular cutoff to sit for jee mains , but there is cutoff released after the examination is conducted, to let the aspirants know who all are qualified for JEE advanced and rest who are not can still apply for NITs and IIITs and State government colleges, based on the rank given. Jee Advanced gives you admission in the prestigious IITs , But the rank also applies in the above mentioned colleges. After the Examination , if you want to get into DTU you need to fill the choice filling form released by JAC DELHI after jee advanced. You can enter the Branches you are intersted in order wise , there are around 5 rounds and sometimes a special round for the left over seats. After each round you are alloted a provisional seat you can either confirm it , or put it on float which will lead the seat to considered for upgradation. Finally u are alotted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
