Course Curriculum Overview

2

Curriculum is decent. But faculty dont pay a lot of attention. Online resources are best to gain industry level skills. Seniors are quite supportive. We have batches of size 100 . Exams are not so difficult., somewhat they are similar to board exam pattern.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Mostly debugging job is assigned to interns. Major brands come for placements. However it's quite difficult to grab on campus internship opportunites. average stipend offered is about 50 - 60 thousand rupees per month while highest was around 2 lakh 71 thousand rupees a month. Mostly, tech branch students grab most of the internships

Placement Experience

4.5

campus placements starts toward the end of third year. Major brands visit DTU including Tower Research, Blackrock, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, BCG, Bain and company etc. Most of the students get placed with a decent package. Percentage of students getting higher than 20Lpa us greater in tech branches. about 90% of the students get placed. This is higher in tech branches nearing to nearly 95 - 97%. highest package is about 1.85 Cr pa made by Palantir London. Average of the college is around 16.71 lpa. I m certainly planning for placements as soon as I get the chance and go for the job after attaining the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

getting a scholarship is not as easy as it seems. They always set some income quota for scholarship. The cost of most of the government institutions have risen a lot and fees of DTU is quite similar to that charged by various IITs/NITs and most of the other tier 1 colleges. However, for a government institution the fee shouldn't be so high

Campus Life

5

Engifest is the flagship fest of DTU - DCE which we boast of as North India's largest cultural fest. There is never any dearth of fests in DTU campus. Always some or the other event goes on. Library is pretty decent, there are a lot of books available. Classrooms are quite comfortable being completely temperature controlled. There is no dearth of social life as well as extra curricular activities in DTU.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Rooms are equipped with very basic facility in college's hostel. Moreover, students with outside state quota are preferred over other students for hostel allotment. Mess food is quite typical, though it's not as bad as projected. But still I would prefer the students to go for standalone flats in case they need an accomodation.

Admission

Basically, we are required to give JEE MAIN examination. One must score a minimum 75% in board exams as well in order to be eligible for admission. For admission in DTU particularly in tech branches, the cutoff goes around 99 percentile. while other branches it may vary from 95 to 98 percentile. Cutoffs of higher of outside delhi quota studetns. I wish that the college abolishes the state quota system or atleast minimise it to something like 30% for home state, 85% is a massive number for home state

Other Applied Colleges

Since, BTECH provides better job opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
