Course Curriculum Overview
Very well trained teachers/professors teach here. 1st year students are made to be taught by Guest faculties. Core branch students have their permanent professors. Since the campus College is quite new so the determination and dedication of teachers towards students is good. Overall very good experience.
Internships Opportunities
Currently there are just a handful of companies that provide like Jindal and Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Not much known about it. Internships are internal based not dependent on any company. College organises it on its own.
Placement Experience
Currently not much data about the placements and any records of it. What is known is that they have their placement director links with a few companies so they are trying to ensure good placements for us.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for 1st year is around 82000. But for subsequent years it's 72000. Fees are quite high as compared to other government colleges. But still it's a university so it may take its own decisions as required. For scholarship purpose it relies on state scholarship portal of state government and doesn't provide any scholarships of its own.
Campus Life
Tech fests occur every year. And other youth development programmes like cultural programmes, societal programmes, etc. They organise events like cleaning drive, etc. they are arranging some programs called New From Tech World where people from big corporates come to talk online on meetings to inspire us and tell us about the current trends and demand in the market.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is not very good now. Cleanliness is not very much. Only two hall of residences one for boys and another for girls. Meals were not good but currently they are improving gradually. New hostels are under mass construction and are expected to be completed by August 2024 after that most of the things will be fixed. Locally there is a colony called Chhend Colony, so one can live on rent there.
Admission
The admission to this course is through the OJEE Counselling which takes JEE Mains score/percentile into consideration. I had given the JEE mains and opted for OJEE Counselling and got into it. I was pretty sure that I can get Computer science branch here but I chose Electrical Engineering as first preference. Reservation system doesn't applies much. It's a state government runned university and has around 130+ affiliated colleges under it. Campus College is quite new and a lot of construction work is going on as of 2023. Yes it's a potential college indeed!
