Course Curriculum Overview

5

From childhood, I love to communicate and have a lot of interest with public relations, advertisements and mass communications. So I thought that this is the right course for me and I took admission in this course and today I am very happy after completing my graduation from this course. The faculty were very supporting. All the faculties were well educated and they helped us in each and every sector. Also the student ratio was good enough. There were total 60 students in a class. Almost all the faculties completed higher education such as doctorate, PHD, Masters, etc. We had two semesters in a year, first semester Takes place in the month of November, and the last semester takes place in April. It was too easy to pass the examination because the method of teaching by faculties was very amazing.

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college provides internships in various production, houses and marketing agencies Such as Rajshree production, IKEA, etc. Some students got internship as a marketing manager, public relations, assistant directors, etc. with stipend of minimum 15,000 per month. Companies give us projects to complete the task so that we can learn the things practically.

Placement Experience

5

Coming to the placement out from the fifth semester onwards students are eligible fo pla many companies comes in our college and provides campus placements to deserved students. Companies such as Serco, cognizant, IKEA, etc. And when I was in college, around 45 students from our class, got the campus placement. The package differs from candidate to candidate but the minimum package was three lakhs per annum and majority they got job in advertisement and Public relations. You can say that around 80% of students achieved campus placements. Coming to my plans after completing my degree, I work as a freelancer for local brands where are used to make advertisements and manage their social media accounts.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, speaking about fee structure, the overall fees per year was 16,000 Rs and we had to pay all the fees in one instalment only. But there were some scholarship is available for the schedule caste and schedule Tribes in, but fees increases year by year. All major companies comes in our college for Placement but I got in job from outside only so I didn't applied for the campus placement.

Campus Life

5

Our department has an annual festival named "Impressions" and it takes place in the month of November. It's a three days first where all the colleges of across Mumbai comes and participate in this festival. Our college library well-maintained and has all kind of books. In our classroom, we had projectors air conditioner, whiteboard and all other basic amenities. There were a lot of extra curricular activities such as sports day, blood donation day, cultural events, etc. Our college had a special group named anti-ragging group where they help students from ragging.

Admission

I would like to share my experience. The admission process was quite lengthy. Firstly, we have to secure at least 60% in HSC, the minimum eligibility of the course. We can get the application form from Mumbai University's website only and it can be easily accessible. We can fill the form online and submit then according to the merit list, we will get our admission also all the deadlines and application fees are mentioned on the website. Well, I got admission in Sindhi Quota reserved for Sindhi students. Yes, I would like to see many improvements in admission process such as they should make the process very simple and short because it will save student's time and there will be no confusion in anything.
