Course Curriculum Overview

I took this course because I was personally intrested to explore Economics and make a career out of it. The faculty is top notch. They are available to help with anything and anytime. There are 6 semesters in 3 years course in which exams are conducted every 6 months.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 9200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable which is within 10k. However, there is no such placement after bachelors degree. But after master's degree, there are chances of campus recruitment. Many financial assistance is also provided by the government.

Campus Life

Life on campus is vibrant, offering a rich tapestry of social, academic, and extracurricular experiences. The annual fest, named "Harmony Fest," takes place in February, bringing together students for cultural celebrations. The tech fest, "InnoTech," is conducted in October, showcasing the innovative prowess of the student community. The campus boasts a well-stocked library with a diverse collection of books and journals, catering to the academic needs of students. The resourceful library ensures that students have access to a wide range of materials for research and study. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities, including audio-visual facilities, creating an optimal environment for learning. The campus prioritizes technological advancements to enhance the overall academic experience. Admission

The admission was based on CUET which is Central University Entrance Test. The eligibility criteria was to have passed 10+2 with 50% aggregate and to give Language and General Test paper in CUET for Bachelor's of Arts.

Perspective as a VCW student

Likes

Facility and infrastructure is really good . In facility we get good internet connection e.g , talking about labs too , we get well equipped class and materials needed for the test , sometimes it may be bit defective aur old.
Teachers are the best things about this college. Course curriculum are designed in the way that you cover everything about the topic infact , sec , aec courses are also designed in students favour only .
The campus area and environment is good too , you may find the campus area small but it's really beautiful and peaceful , there is gym , canteen , ground with basketball and badminton court . You may not get the top notch facility but its not worse.

Dislikes

The first thing could be interior and mangement of washrooms. Canteen could be more better and provide more options . In summer , other than library we get no other sitting area , except the open classroom which are in tolerable in heat.
The bus management is worse too, I left the bus service because of their management.
The fests are not worse but could be organized in more better way .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally find the curriculum to be well made and in favour wit the students. In teaching methods , the subjects that demand practical exposure should be given tasks to be conducted on the real life situation, like the opportunity we get during internship . They should provide task like that .

Great learning environment, experienced faculty, and value for money education.

Likes

The faculty members are very supportive, highly experienced, and always ready to help students with their queries.
The course fee is extremely affordable and provides great value for money for students in this region.
The campus has a peaceful learning environment with a good gender ratio of around 1:1 for boys and girls.

Dislikes

On-campus placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly need to look for off-campus jobs.
Campus infrastructure needs modernization, including better Wi-Fi access and updated lab equipment.
More practical exposure and industry-oriented training programs should be added to the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

Our curriculum is Industry oriented which includes academic as well as practical learning.
Our college conducted regular workshops, seminars and guest lectures by media professionals.
Experienced and supportive faculty members. All teachers are approachable and provide personal guidance.

Timings are perfect and we enjoy the lectures as well

Canteen food the only thing I don't like about my college

Placement Experience:

They give us lots of opportunities before summer vacations in terms of internship and after the final semester of exams they take our interview and give exact amount of opportunities and don't disappoint us

Likes

I liked the safe enviornment of the college
All the teachers are very supportive and helpful
The concepts are easily understood by the students

Dislikes

The variety of the food can be more but its not so
There are many activities which can be restricted
No fixed timing od dispersal sometimes you have to be extra time

Likes

The fees is affordable in comparison to Delhi University.
The scholarship scheme is definitely helpful for those who are economically weak.
The main campus has a central library so its quite helpful

Dislikes

The books in the central library are quite outdated
The lack of infrastructure in the affiliated colleges of AU
No merit based scholarship scheme available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

Remarks:

The positive remarks of our college includes the very big infrastructure of the campus. The campus includes playground, sports ground, seminar rooms, conference rooms, library, 24 into 7 Wi-Fi connectivity, Auditorium, gymnasium, sports facilities. Also guest house and transport facilities for the students are available.

Perspective as a VCW student

As I have to apply for BA psychology , there were not many options in 2024 that provide this course in my state any with nep applied , so in UP only the option of BHU was open for me . I have cuet exam in which BHU has its own marking rules , e.g , genral test and engkish subject carry the weightage. I cleared in first round and got VCW , you can apply for other rounds too , but I already decided to go for VCW because of the good faculty (heard from seniors and internet) and the campus. I have applied to saheed bhagat singh college delhi . And i didn't make there because as i got College allotment in BHU and it's near my location that's why i didn't opt for that college in new delhi and went for bhu as it's a renowned university. Life at Vasanta college for Women!!

I also applied to DU but i couldnt get in because my CUET score wasn't as much as required. I chose VCW as it is affiliated with BHU which is one of the best universities in India For admission in my college you need to clear CUET and score good marks and then apply for counselling by the BHU samarth portal . After the counselling is done and you have got your seat you have to go for physical verification of documents to BHU in your respective departments. And then classes will start whenever college decides. Before the commencement of classes you will receive a admission letter from VCW and in that there will be a admission form and undertaking form for ragging. You have to fill both and take a print out and also pay a fees of 500 rupees online . Then next day you have to come to college and submit the admission form and undertaking and also your TC and character certificate from school . You will again have to pay 500 in cash .
