There are many this to like about this college like the location of this college is beautiful around fields totally rural area beautiful and silent location perfect for study purpose...
Infrastructure is good,Teachers i.e . faculty members are good..
But expect all our maths teacher is very good..Time to time government newly introduced opportunities are conveyed .. Internship providing ..and focusing in overall development of students..

Dislikes

Things like not availability of lab equipments,
Not providing library book for studying in hostel

This is Satyam Kumar from Jamshedpur.. The reason behind choosing this college is goverment tag and it's backup i.e.bit Sindri.. Faculty here are highly qualified i.e.from bits,mits,etc There are 2 mid terms( best of two taken in end sem exam) and 1 end sem exam Mid sem of 20 marks each and end sem of 70 marks each and 10 marks is for attendance ( 75 % attendance is must if not then you can't be able to give exam)..

After 3rd year or in 3rd year only students starts getting placed according to ..since it is new college it's 1st batch is passing out in 2026 so,after that it's percentage of students placed and average package will be clear but different companies like TATA,BIRLA GROUP,TCS,etc have been approached and hope they will consider this college since it is backed by bit Sindri so that aspect will be helpful for this college..

College life ,campus is very good There are are different clubs in the making process as it is new college.. Infrastructure is very good,library with 1000s of books available.. Tere is different groups for different purposes like cultural program group, Student doubt solving group,and query of juniors is very welcomingly intertened by the seniors they are very supportive ..No ragging..

Hostel is very good..., Features as compare to government colleges it is very good..hostel charge is yearly 9500 and mess charge is monthly 3900 there is menue provided by mess accordingly it runs food is good not bad ..there is one study table,one personal almirah and one bed provided to each student and there are total 3 students of same branch in each room...

Government engineering College, palamu the second government college started in jharkhand in the year 2022 after Bit Sindri which was started in 1949, After 73 years gap .. so, jharkhand government is taking special care of this college to make it just like bit Sindri and achieve various goals in near future and glorify our jharkhand state by producing skillfull engineers.. 1.Eligibility to qualify for taking admission in gec palamu is you should be 12th pass with atleast 45% marks and given jee mains exam first then you should apply in JCECEB councelling held every year in which you will get a cml rank and According to your rank you will get your specified branches..i.e.CS,EE,ME or CE ,four branches available 2.Qdmission process is simple after getting allotment lettel by JCECEB you should bring that letter to college with important documents mentioned in the allotment letter or you can check the official website of college to get the admission process details and timing details...

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Likes

the return to investment in this college is very fair.
the infrastructure in this college is very good and still developing rapidly .
the fee is very affordable and the surrounding market is also cheap.

Dislikes

the reservation is very high and sc & st community gets so much advantage .
the college is located at outskirts of main city Dhanbad .
there is some sort of ragging culture which is also present here. Talking about the girls to boys ratio it is 25 to 75.

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of BIT Sindri is quite impressive because the core branch placement is too good . it offers around 90% placement to branch like mechanial , electrical , mining , metal. technical branch placement is also improving yearly.

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

Authentic and right

I choose this college because it is 2nd state govt. College which is fully funded by state govt. .. Which reults the low fees struture of this college (which is more relief factor for students), always having support from govt. For any innovation ideas and startup idea and to fund rise for their projects. I applied firstly for state govt. College (having first priority) and got it . but many other colleges are present in jharkhand which run by PPP mode (Public private partnership) examples - Ramgarh enginnering college, chaibasa enginnering college, Dumka enginnering collegs, etc. Admission will be done in all college through jee mains score, by coucelling basis through jceceb board. Criteria for councelleing are as follows :- 1) students must be resident of Jharkhand 2) in class 12th students must be in minimum 60% 3) rank of state(both general merit + category) which is given after filling application form 4) cutoffs based on rank of students in which they are applied to colleges and their respective branches 5) admission will be going in respective rounds also cutoffs depends on it. 6) after gotting college in councelling, first have to pay security money to confim seat And take admission to their desired college in desired date by paying annual fees and tution fees of amount approx ~ 15000/- + all required documents which are instructed in allotment letter during councelling...Read More

Here is true facts about GEC palamu

Firstly I applied nit and bit but since the course I want is not possible to get there and about private colleges I prefer government engineering College because it is government and most important for middle class is it's fee structure.
