Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Chemical Engineering in Delhi Technological University. I was very sure from starting that I will go in Tech-Based Field. I did not get the tech branches because my rank was not that much good. Through Chemical Engineering, I can go for core field also. I took this course because this is a easy branch as compared to other branches. The syllabus is very easy and we have time to do anything we are interested like programming,etc. The faculty student ratio is very good which is 1:80. All the Faculty members are very qualifiied - IITians, or have done Phd.
Internships Opportunities
DTU itself is very helpful in the internship opportunities, as it gets many collaboration with companies. Through that, they give the stipend of 60-70k easily. Companies like MIcrosoft, Google, Uber, Texas Instruments,etc. are there for internships
Placement Experience
From 7th semester, students are eligible for the campus placements. Before that, after completion of 5th semester, college itself releases a portal for interships. Through which students get internships, which are good. DTU is very good at placements and thats why most of the students come here. Highest package in the year 2022 was 1.8Cr and average package is above 16 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for any B.Tech program in Delhi Technological University is 2,29,000 for the year 2023-24. It increases with time. College is helpful for giving the scholarships by collaborating with different companies like this year Dell has collabed with DTU to give scholarship and Laptops to students. College itself also give fee scholarship. DTU is a very famous college, that is why many companies comes for campus placements.
Campus Life
The campus life in college is very cheerful and interesting. There are many things to do or explore in the college. There are many socities or clubs for different skills development, sports based societies. There is a central library in the college which has all kind of books. Also there is a sports complex which contains all the sports facilities and grounds.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are not good, initially for the first year students they are alloted the old hostels which are not really good. Quality of the food is also not good and if somebody complaints for the quality, it gets better for some days and then repeats. Registration process for the hostel and mess starts after the admission is done.
Admission
The admission process is very simple. One must have to give JEE mains Examination, which application fees is 700 per session and get a decent score like above 95 percentile (outside Delhi Student) and above 75 percentile (Delhi students). After you get your result, you have to register for JAC (Joint Admission Committee) Delhi. The registration process begins with JEE Mains roll number, uploading all the documents, filling choices for different branches in colleges and then JAC releases its counselling rounds. From these rounds, if you get your wished seat then lock that and pay the seat locking fee (95000). Then you have to go for offline documents verification in the respective institute. Now your Admission process is done sucessfully.
