What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the crowd a lot. Very nice people and you can make a lot of good friends.
- The connectivity is great. We have a metro station right in front of our campus.
- A lot of food outlets outside our campus.
Dislikes
- The 3 time exam system. Most colleges have 2- time exam system ime. Mid term and end-term but ours has 3 so that kinda sucks.
- The in-campus timing. We have to get back to campus before 9 p.m. but it's for safety so, understandable.
- Single occupancy rooms aren't available.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have to give 3 exams per semester namely T1, T2 and the T3(end term exam). T1, T2 carry the same weightage of 20 marks each whereas the end term exam T3 is of 35 marks. For the first year, students from all of the branches have the same subjects and from 3rd semester onwards, we have to study core branch specific subjects. The faculty members are mostly very nice, although there are some teachers who fail to get students' attention in the lecture but that's the same with almost all of the colleges in India.
Fees and Financial Aid
According to the fee hike policy, there is a small hike in the tuition and development fees each year. As for the scholarships, there aren't much but our college does provide some scholarships to the EWS category students, i.e., students having annual parental income less than 8,00,000 (as far as I know).
Campus Life
Our campus isn't that huge but the infrastructure is pretty good. We have a swimming pool in our main campus and some sports facilities in the campus which is present in the sector 128. The main campus has certainly less sports facilities. We have an LRC (Learning Resource Centre) in both the campuses where students can find books related to their course.
Admission
A student can take admission in JIIT Noida through either their 12th board exam's score or their JEE Main All India Rank. For me, it was through JEE Rank. My rank was 75408 and I got alloted ECE of campus present in the 128 sector. Later, my course got upgraded and I am now currently studying ECE in the sector 62 (main) campus. For my year, the CSE-128 closed at 71500 rank so I couldn't get it but for the year 2023, the cutoff rank went higher. One can apply through the college's main website for the counselling process.
