Remarks
My overall experience has been really good.I am a person who is good in academics so I am happy with the faculties.Only the infrastructure part I think could be improved.
Entrance Preview
I had given Jee Mains, and based on its score and my rank I applied for information technology in this college. As my rank was pretty normal under 1,50,000 I was chosen in IT branch. There was no interview process thereafter.I had always wanted to make my career in software thus I chose information technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Btech in Information technology. As expected that the course would help me develop my programming skills and software skills, it actually did help me to a great extent.Practical learning was also inculcated to some extent.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, to the students of 4th year it provides internship. I haven't attended yet as I am.still in my 3rd year, but as heard from seniors the experience was quite satisfying.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario till year 2016 was pretty good. But from 2017 as their is huge recession going on globally so it was reflected in our placements as well. But still companies like BOSCH, Infosys, Wipro were among the top to visit. The package for bosch was ₹4.5 p.a, while that of Infosys was around ₹ 3 p.a.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a bit expensive for middle class students such as me.But with the amount of facilities given I think it is affordable. The tuition fee is ₹ 101400 p.a., hostel fee is ₹ 65000 p.a. and training fee is ₹ 15000 p.a.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have been residing in girls hostel, which are present in college campus itself. Each room has four beds, which are being shared by four girls. Each individual has been allotted a personal almora, table, chair and a shelf. The fooding facilities keeps in mind the health of students and provides variety of foods.
Exam Structure
Absolutely yes. After a full day spent doing theory classes and labs, I am left with very little energy.
Faculty
The faculties are very helpful, and interactive as well.Whenever in need, if one goes to them they are ready to listen to their problems and tries to solve them.As far as their qualification is concerned, most of them have done their Masters, while some have also done their PhD from reputed colleges, such as NIT rourkela. Thus they are quite experienced in the respective subjects they are teaching.
