Remarks

It was really good expirence being there. As the atmosphere over there was student friendly and helpful. Management was good they hear to student problems and took steps in favour of students.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE in 2009, My AIR was 4 lacs and I got admission through Ptu counseling. My friend suggested this college to me and I got my desirable branch here so I joined.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is really good we had no. Of trainings and interactions with people from our industry. During my study period faculty was good for some subjects while in some it was not up to the mark.

Internships Opportunities

It was good, I learned a lot but it was not provided by college. A few companies visited our campus for internship. I managed my internship by own. Students who got selected by those companies got 10000pm stipend.

Placement Experience

2.5

In 2013 it was not that good but our placement cell authorities tried their best. Out of our batch 30 students was placed in different companies with average package of 2 lacs but in other branches like Information technology the companies like Data64 offered a package of 10lacs to 3 students at that time.

College Events

4

Our college was best for festivals, every year there is a international festival and there are no. of events, competitions, star nights. Students from other countries visit this festival as well. It is held once in a year. Apart from this there are no. of festivals which college holds. Participation is really good all the regional, national and international (for international festival) students and delegates visit our campus. Also popular singers and actors used to come on the star nights. It was fun being there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hostel rooms was good I spent my four years in hostel. At maximum three students can share a room which has attached bathroom as well. Water system was good it was connected to centralised R.O system. Cafeteria was there outside the hostel but the food in the mess was good. Overall it was good expirience .4/5 rating.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes some of meritorious students was offered scholarship by the college, my friend was one among them. College also reimbursed the money of my project as it was selected best project by Indian society of technical education. This was the best thing.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was good as it is lushed with greenery all over and good infrastructure, well built playgrounds, labs, seminar halls. Yes there were no. of competitions on regular basis like debate, quiz, presentation, tournament and athletic meet etc. Gender ratio was equivalent and students were from different parts of country. There was no discrimination on basis of gender, sex and religion. The college is very secure and politics was not there at our times, actually authorities was not in favour to let this thing enter and change the mind of students.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors was most friendly, there is no word like raging. They guided us and it was a good expirence.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
