Light house near college, ashram is very calm and great.

Dislikes

The food,and some faculty, infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science course because I'm very interested in this and moreover it is trending in present.the faculty student ratio is 1:10.and the faculty are highly qualified and most of them has done Phd in their subject what they are teaching.the exams are moderate level so if you study hard you will pass and term exams were like in once in 6 months averagely.

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 270000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities are quite high in our university.microsoft offered internships.and there are many projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks.and u have better chances to get internship in our college.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 6th semester onwards students at eligible for placements.companies like Infosys, etc will come to our college.and approx 10 to 15 companies will come.highest package is 50 lakhs per annum and average is around 6 lakhs.90%students will be placed.after getting degree I will do job.

Fees and Financial Aid

In Amrita University fees are quite high because it is one of the best universities for placements.actually I'm undergraduate present Im in 3rd semester.the fee structure is like we have 4 slabs 1 to 4 slabs according to the gpa u got and if the cgpa is low than u have to get the slab is increased so and fee too.

Campus Life

There will be fests often in amrita.mainly onam in October and vidyut in any of the month in ayear.books also available in our university and some of the books are from old years.sports and extra curricular activities are as of your interest in it here Ayudh is there for cultural activities.and every year there will be a sports fest.acm, bios etc are the club's run by students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

As far as I know for cheap rate I got hostel and facilities are like not that much good but okay.we have 4 beds and 2 fans two lights,4 tables ina room.meal quality is average and menu is not goodand sunday.u have to register for hostel in aums.vallikavvu is the best option for pg incase if anybody wants to join pg.

Hostel Fee: INR 68000 per year

Admission

Any student can join into Amrita University by writing AEEE exam or through jee main and by applying non scholarship.student should pass his 11th and 12th grade and having more than 60% marks in maths, physics, chemistry.as of now admission process is good and I suggest no change is required.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Comprehensive review of amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam - amritapuri campus:A blend of academic Excellence and campus life

When choosing a college several factors played a role in my decision to select Amma the Vishwa vidyapeethum campus from my cyber security program over other institutions applied to. Compared with other colleges I applied to 1. VIT Vellore 2. BITS Pilani 3. SRM institute of science and technology Amrita has an excellent repetition for its faculty in cyber security. The professors are experienced and have a strong academic background along with industry exposure which was highly appealing to me. Including well accepted cyber security lapse. These lamps focus on practical penetration testing ,network security ,and ethical hacking. Amrita amrutapuri is situated in a peaceful coastal area offering a conductive environment for studies the campus life is lively with several extra curricular and co curricular activities that I found very attractive. Wet Vellore and SRM also afford good campus life but were much larger in size and I felt amritas more intimate campus would be better for personalised learning....Read More
