Interaction : Here I learned to interact with seniors and juniors.
Friends : I made a lot of friends here in the university itself.

the city : I didn't like the city and it's food.
Hostel facilities : I didnot like the hostel facilities at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

Biochemical engineering was the only branch dealing with living organisms and I that's how I felt it fascinating. Faculty to student is okay but I think there is a need of more faculties...here it lacks. Faculties are well qualified most of them are Phd from eminent institutions. There are 2 mid sems and a end sem in each semester and they are moderate in terms of difficulty level.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Internships Opportunities

HUL , Pernord Ricard , Bacardi are the companies where students can apply. For internships and placements, students have to be active themselves , so as to do get success . Projects and outcomes varies .

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students become eleigible for campus placements. For the students who want to carry out their career in core gate exam is recommended to be prepared for mtech and further studies. And I'll do the same because biochemical companies generally donot take undergraduate students .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees for btech is1,35,000 per year ,and increases by 10 percent every year. Name of scholarship, financial assistance : UP scholarship . Hostel fees is Rs. 22,000 and mess fees is Rs.36,000 (annual).

Campus Life

Annual fest is adhyaay and tech fest is teknika .They are conducted in february- march. There is sufficient availability of books and journals in the library. Ammenties in classrooms are not up to the mark. For sports and extra curricular activities there are various clubs and subcouncils in the campus. Gruv , octave, dc , etc. are the clubs for the students run by students.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided in the room are just we get electrical supply , a tubelight and a bed. Meal quality is 6 on 10 and menu varies . Registration for hostel can be done on hbtu.ac.in and is affordable. I haven't rented a room or pg.

Admission

I was admitted in the college on the basis of jee mains score and rank respectively. Application form , application fees and application dates are available on hbtu.ac.in for admission in Harcourt Butler Technical University.

My overall Journey

Likes

Everything was good except placements.
Campus was so engaging , has a beautiful campus , one can get to learn a lot .
Faculties was from either IIT's or NIT's with good humor and knowledge.

Dislikes

Student has to suffer a lot during placements for students who are from Biotechnology .
No one takes responsibility , if a student is unplaced.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become elligible for campus placements.From top companies like google , microsoft to new startups like Raspa , Protium all companes visits , Highest package was 96 LPA , 40% students get placed , rest suffers , if one is from core branch then they get chances for PSUs and other organization.

Good Faculty : Faculty are supportive to your carrer growth they will provide guidance whenever you needed...
Campus Facilities: Infrastruture,labs everything is up to date accoding to the current need of the present.
Curriculum: Up to date industry oriented syllabus .

Dislikes

Strict Rules: rules are somewhere more stricter for college id,entering and exiting time .
Crowded classes: some classes are crowded sometimes
placement competition many students participating in the placements.

Placement Experience:

At NIET Greater Noida students becomes eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th sem, with placement preparation starting earlier . Companies from IT sectors and others are visiting college. In my batch time the company that comes are JP Morgan & Chase , Razorpay, Juspay, TCS, Cognizant etc.

In my college placement is good and increasing every year as I have heard from s masters senior in past 4 days 1000 students have been placed and placements are still going on and there is a dedicated placement cell in our college and also skilled students can get upto 40-60LPA and average is 6-7 LPA and my plans after degree is to go for masters as I have intrest in MTECH too and 60-70% gets placement and it's still increasing and companies visit such as wipro hcl LG delloite etc

I liked the faculty here, they are well qualified and experienced
The way the faculty is trying hard with the students is very good.
Students are good here too they are cooperative with each other.

Dislikes

Library doesn't open after college hours.
Less events organised here in comparison of other engineering colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i did diploma in computer science engineering so after that i chose to do BTech in cse for better opportunities. Here I am really learning some computer languages by which I am making some projects. Exams timing is they held in evey 5-6 months.and this is a decent time to prepare for the semester exams.

I like the Teacher behavior and attitudes

If you are BTech CSE student , you dont need to worry more because they invite good number of companies to take placement , but you need that particular skills to get placed. Almost 40 to 50% student got placement for an average of 4.5 LPA

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Professer behavior is very cool and good
Classes is conducted in normal class in which some classes have A.C while some not
Campus area is so big in which staff parking and student parking is separtely available

Dislikes

College time is bad . It is same as school timing
Student must maintain 75% attendence to avoid detention in CIA
It does not give a proper break after semester exam

Placement Experience:

The placement is average as same as other college . It provide 6-12 LPA package for who have skills as market required The placement criteria for student is above 8 CGP and no backlogs in all semester My plans after getting the degree is to join a good company for a good life The percentage of getting placements is above 80%

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list.
