Remarks

College management was average at the time of my admission. But it has so much improved in these 3 years. So there will be always a good remark about the college management from now onwards. Everything is done on time and at the specified venue.

Entrance Preview

I gave JEE Mains for getting admission in this college , I scored 168/360 . I opted for this college because everyone have heard the prestigious name 'Delhi College of Engineering' for it's excellence in academics as well as other field. There is no interview round for getting admission, just we have to submit the required documents at the time of counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is excellent. You will get a detailed information about all the subjects in 1st year, afterward, you will get detailed Information about the electives of your specified branch. Focus on research also plays a keen role while covering the syllabus of the subjects. We can work with any professor to get our research work done.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides the internship. All students have to log on to Resume Manager for which they are provided username and password. All the companies visiting the campus pre-inform students through Resume Manager. The general stipend is 5-10K/month. Overall experience is very good as we have to clear online test, interviews, GDs., etc. We get a lot of experience.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities are very good. Almost 90% of the students got placed. Many companies like Texas Instruments, Google, Microsoft, BCG, Uber, Snapdeal, etc visit every year. The average package offered was 8lakh pa, with highest being 1.2 crore pa.

College Events

5

One of the biggest fest of Delhi, also of College too, namely 'Engifest', short name for Engineering Fest is celebrated every year. Many celebrities Come on this fest. This fest provides the best lifetime experience to students.Sports Fest is also being held namely 'Aahvaan' which is for the athletes and non - athletes too. The technical fest is also being held namely 'Innova' in which students from different colleges can show off their technical skills. All these fests are celebrated on a very big platform.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. Fees at my time were 99k for the first year,91k for the second and third year. It has now become 1.25lakh per year for the new batch. The fee structure is not expensive at all compared to other engineering colleges in Delhi or India.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lot of good scholarships offered by the college. We can get an idea about it checking the college site once in a while every day. One scholarship that I have an idea about is the 5k-10k offered to the students who top their particular branch. Also, fees compensation is offered to the students belonging to the low-income group.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life here is one of the best moments in my life. The campus is so huge with an area of 164 acres that you'll not get bored.Gender ratio is like, 3:2 boys to girls. There are a lot of societies and extracurricular activities. There is a separate Sports complex for the sports lovers. Sports complex have a badminton court, basketball court, football ground, etc. Quality is the keen thing in all the above-mentioned infrastructure.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Though I don't live in hostel, I have an idea what is the fees of the hostel. Fees are 25k per year in which food is also included. Hostel rooms though small are well equipped with fans, tables, etc. In 1st year, the room is shared by 3-4 students. After it, we get individual rooms. There are a lot of good PGs nearby. They charge approximately 7k-11k per month Depending on AC or Non-AC room.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network and senior students are really helpful. Seniors are so much willing to help their juniors anytime. They tell us about an idea of how to write in the exam , about the previous year question papers, etc. Even the alumni helps a lot. They come at various events to meet their professors and teachers and they guide their juniors on how to focus on goals.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is good, except the fact that sometimes a student Have 2 exams on a day at the time of mid-semester. Labs are chilled out, once we are done with the work, teachers allow us to leave early. Labs are well equipped with all the equipments needed to perform an experiment.

Admission

I got rank of 17338 in JEE Mains which helped me getting admission in this college . Firstly you have the clear the cut off of JEE mains, plus minimum criteria in CBSE or ICSE Boards .The rank is calculated on the combined basis of Boards percentage and JEE score. After that they give you a date for counseling ,which is the mandatory process for getting admission. You have to take all required documents as mentioned.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in DTU is highly qualified and interested to teach any elective or course they are required to teach. The faculty has lots and lots of knowledge about the subjects they are teaching. They use the knowledge very well in order to teach the concepts to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
