Entrance Preview

I have got to attend PESSAT Exam and got a 1800 rank and got into the college and attend the counselling process and had to go through many processes and finally choose the branch and get into college after paying nearly 1Lakh Demand draft

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

PES is a deemed to be University now. So it can change its curriculum at any point of time adapting fast to the changing industry standards. But the curriculum is neat straightforward and little challenging and tough.

Internships Opportunities

An average of 150 students have gone to over 10 Universities in US, UK and Switzerland in the last three years with internship offers after their 6th Semester.

College Events

About Aatmatrisha fest:- Its actually pretty good. Although they took a minimal fee for the main attraction, it proved to be one of the best Engineering Fests this time around in Bangalore with Sunidhi Chauhan performing. And many fests also costs us and they conduct much grandly and also not much to say and surely they have celebrate at ours heart's content.

Fees and Financial Aid

The top 20% from each class are given a 25% fees waiver, at the end of each year and also all students scoring a SGPA of more than 8(and 9) are given 500 (and ?1000) at the end of each semester.Loan facility you should approach private banks for this.

Hostel Facilities

Gaming and movies are totally fine. Just don't get all of your friends into your room and watch movies or play games with a pair of external speakers late at night. There is WIFI to girls hostels and not for boys. One of the best accommodations that any engineering college can give. It has 5 blocks : NB, NBX, MM, Mess and IT blocks.Whatever the problems be ,MM and Mess blocks face the most. You hardly get mobile signal in MM block. So try to avoid getting into these blocks.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Admission

40% of the Seats are reserved for CET Candidates. In the remaining 60% of the seats.First Preference is given to PESSAT Test Scores.Second Preference is given to COMED-K Test Scoresand the adminstration was quite clear and you have to get the score or you need to get the required money.

Faculty

PES has some good professors and many of them are undertaking research work on or off the campus. This helps students in doing R&D themselves or with them. This also helps in placement or if you wanna study abroad. Computer Science department faculty Prof. B N Rao,Prof. Srikanth H R,Prof. N S Kumar,

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Why you should join PESU - pros and cons.

I applied to KIIT, VIT, DSCE, BMSIT along with the usual IIT and NIT with BITS. I did not clear JEE, nor was able to get somewhat of a good score for CSE in BITS. I wanted to pursue CS, so instead of choosing a course I did not like in BITS, I chose CS in PESU. I chose PESU because the placements outdo the others, while also having a better reputation than the others. For our batch, it was giving the admission test called PESSAT, through which you got a rank, and based on that you could enter the counselling round and choose your course based on your rank. Now it has changed to a JEE based rank system. For students in Karnataka it is still KCET....Read More

Review about PES UNIVERSITY BANGALORE

Except this college I had applied to RV college of engineering which is the goated college of banglore but because of the cutoff in that college I was not able to join that college. I was allocated to BMSIT college in my 1st round of Kcet but the college was the second branch of BMS College so I choose PES . No I didn't get any rejection from other college but the only issue was the cutoff of RV college of engineering i didn't had enough rank to join there . To join into our college there is a common entrance exam conducted by Karnataka government known as KCET .most students prefer this exam as it reduces the fee of your college. And another way to join into our college is JEE mains exam . My overall admission experience was great, as my college had supported us in the process hasslefree ....Read More
