What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure, Library , canteen and the faculties.
Some seniors are quite good. The canteen is awesome .
The auditorium and the e learning centre is absolutely amazing.

Dislikes

Maximum seniors are absolutely horrendous.
The messages needs to improve a lot as the food is not edible right now.
Some faculties have a bit of an attitude problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based on the New education policy. Extremely practical, gives real life skills applicable to engineering. Faculties are experts in their field and are very nurturing. The exams take place in a period of 4 months and are of moderate difficulty.

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 48000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

After 6 th semester students become eligible and the companies visiting our college include big names like TATA, Google , Amazon , Flipkart etc. The highest package ever offered is 56 lakhs and the average placement for IT sector students is 23 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is 4 lakhs for four years. Extremely affordable. No increases that I know of. A lot of central and state scholarships are made available to the students. As I am in first year, haven't taken any responsibilities as such.

Campus Life

Not as amazing as the tech fests of IITS and NITS , but is up there. A massive library boasting about 150000 books and journals. All the classrooms are smart classrooms and the campus offers various sports endemic to high schools.

Hostel Facilities

Except a bed and a study table nothing else is provided in the room. The hostel needs repairs and work is stagnant right now. The meal quality is absolutely horrible with foreign objects being found in the food on a regular basis.

Hostel Fee: INR 31000 per year

Admission

Jee mains, cutoff was AIR 5000. No reservation availed. Exams are extremely difficult and the quality of education is absolutely amazing. If anything could be improved it would be the student welfare portion, seniors regularly harass their juniors.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. The eligibility of our college is 45 percent. The admission process is quite hassle free. As once you got the seat in ojee counselling....Read More

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
