Likes

The campus: The campus is very big for evening roaming with friends
The spots academy: The sports academy provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor games
Teacher: Teachers are very friendly and understanding. They teach very well.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not up to the mark. They don't co-operate if you complain about the food
The university management is very bad. They always try to find ways to impose fine on students
There is no Air conditioners in class room. We face many problems in summer.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum a solid 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance .The friendly facilities and student friendly course pattern influence my decision to choose this course. The curriculum prepares me in a such way that I can achieve my goal one day. It helps us to gain knowledge about how to survive in today's real world. Telling about the improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods the course curriculum and teaching should be practical orientated rather being more theory oriented. In every 2 or 3 month there is a exam and difficulty level is medium.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies depending upon the course you choose.The annual tuition fee varies between 44000 to 600000 . Factor in additional like hostel fees ,examination fees ets. It offers scholarship and financial aid to students based on merit and academic performance.The University offer limited campus employment opportunity to students .

Campus Life

The campus life is very good. Campus is very big with full of greenery. There are too many clubs like hacking club, coding club, cultural club etc. Infrastructure is very good, with 3 separate academic blocks for different branches. The annual function and annual sports held during the month of February or March. The annual function is called Vasantika. All classrooms are smart class room with projectors.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is average in quality. 1 room is assigned per 4 students. The room has 2 fans, 2 bar lights and cupboards for individual students. Beds are also provided. Food quality is not good . Non veg is provided on Wednesday Friday and Sunday.Veg is provided on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The hostel fees are not so high so it is affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 53000 per year

Admission

The admission process are driems University varies depending on the program you are applying for. Here is a general overview: Eligibility: for undergraduate programs typically required 10 + 2 or equivalent with minimum marks depending on the program.Some programs may require entrance exams like JEE main or OJEE. marks. Application: You can apply online or offline .The application fee varies depending upon the program. Deadlines typically fall between April and July. Selection: selection is based on merit, entrance exams (if applicable) and sometimes an interview. Cut off marks vary each year based on program and seat availability. Reservation: University reserve seat for SC, ST ,OBC and other category as per government regulations. In every 2 months there is a exam and the difficulty label of the exam is medium. Improve:Application process could be streamline for more user friendly experience. It should provide more specific information about cut off marks and selection criteria .

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

First reason was that it was cheaper in fee as compared to other colleges at that time but now they have increased the fee also later stage I realised that I did mistake choosing this college over the available options like silicon institute of technology,cv Raman University and SOA around similar fee structure with better facilities and placement stats. Actually I also applied for Iter Bbsr . But due to some family reason I can't take admission in it . Then after I see that, Driems facilities is also good. And no other college than compared within these fees structure and high facilities . No , I didn't get any rejection from any college, I didn't go there , due to some financial issues..
