Remarks

The teaching faculty of college is very experienced but the administrative department has lot to be improved. The management has to learn to make the students enjoy a bit.

Entrance Preview

MHT-CET. Admission to this college was through the minority quota. I had scored 131/200 in CET. The college was already well known in the city and situated in the heart of Mumbai.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course has a very good curriculum and the faculty is well known. I don't think that many other colleges can beat this particular college in terms of faculty.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are not available for the core branches, but for IT, Computer sciences and Electronics, provisions have been made so that the students are able to get more hands-on experience. The chances of internship for mechanical and civil students are very bleak and even if they are able to land an internship the stipend is not more than 5000

Placement Experience

3

There are companies which are now consistently visiting for many years now. They include TCS, Godrej, Mahindra and Mahindra, L & T etc. The packages range from 3 to 6 LPA. Moreover, student associations like IEEE, ASME, ISHRAE etc also help in landing students in their first job.

College Events

3

The festivals, both cultural and technical, are poorly arranged due to the lack of help from the management. The independent associations like SAE, ISHRAE, IEEE are prompt in arranging seminars which aim to be helpful to in both mind refreshing and knowledge wise

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are in the same range which most of the institutes have nowadays. Neither too expensive but just a little above feasible range. There are grants and scholarships available to help the students financially. the fee ranges from around 90,000 to around almost 1,00,000. There happen to be no hidden fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

A number of loans and scholarships are available for the students. There is a state as well as center appointed scholarships for almost all the students who apply for them. It gives around 25,000 to the students yearly.

Hostel Facilities

4

The institute also has hostel facilities available located neither too far nor too near. It is located in CST area. The facilities in the hostel are very up to date and make the student's life very easier. From having geysers to the tv in mess, the items of the main necessacity are provided. There is even provision for laundry and the food is hygienic and has good taste.

Alumni/Alumna

Though I myself have never experienced any such events, the alumni on a personal level are co-operative and most of them work at senior positions in a number of firms

Exam Structure

The whole schedule was not very difficult but also enough to keep the students alert enough. Exams were conducted at proper intervals so as to prepare for the University exams. The labs were updated and had enough resources to prepare us. Two internal exams to make you cover the whole syllabus but in a proper manner is very helpful

Admission

The admission can be taken through the minority quota or through DTE. The forms for minority Seats are available early in June while the DTE process takes place a little late and in around july. It is easier to get through the DTE process as the competition is greater in the minority quota

Faculty

4.5

The faculty ranging from the lab assistants to the HOD are all well versed and experienced at their own respective positions. Many have been around for more than a decade. They are helpful and ready to help in many instances. There are almost no instances when the teachers are absent or not present.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
