KIET HONEST REVIEW

As I have opted electrical and electronics engineering, so from my point of view in this branch there is a vast syllabus and also future scope such as in electric vehicles and renewable energy. This course helps in clearing all basic to advanced requirements for proceeding further in this field. As far as we talk about difficulty ,electrical and electronics engineering can be considered as little bit difficult, as there is lot to imagine and lot to do in practical.

College provided internship after the end-sem exam . Also if a student gets intership in any company, college supports the student and provides leave to the student. Also in my branch there is a center of excellence of TATA POWER which runs a train to hire program.

In my branch the placement is 100 %. The student should not have any backlog to sit in placements . Students become eligible from 7th semester for campus placements. Average package of my college is 4.5 LPA and highest package is 27 LPA (on- campus). Companies such as Tata power, DXC technologies, Capgemini, Infosys, TCS visits college.

Fees for 1st year is 138000 and for rest of the 3 years is 128000 per year. As far as scholarship is concerned it is given by UP.GOVT for SC,ST and OBC students.Also on the other hand students from any category can apply for fee waiver seat if they have qualified Jee mains and have related eligibility

In Terms of clubs , I think KIET is doing best among all the colleges of the region, There are multiple clubs for each branch performing well and also students from the clubs are leading in different hackathons and winning prizes organised by the different institutions including IITs. In my branch there is INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS AND CONTROL CLUB and also CENTRE FOR E-MOBILITY. College is having a large central library having a large number of books of every genre, latest updates books are provided every month in newly arrived section. Books for competitive exams are also available in the library. There is a separate self study hall in the library which is open till 2:00 am for late night studying and having silent environment. All the Classes are air conditioned having smart boards. In terms of sports KIET is having a large football ground, cricket ground, basketball ground, tennis ,volleyball ,badminton courts etc. And also indoor sports suchs as billiards, carrom, shooting range.

The hostel annual fee is 96000. There are two boys hostels for 1st year. Mess is on ground floor of the hostel and there is different menu for each day. Four time meal is provided every day including evening snacks. Separate football ground, badminton and volleyball courts are there for the hostellers. A separate air conditioned study room and gym is also there for hostel students.

Application form is available on the site of the college every year which is free to fill. I also filled it online, after that I received a call from college for a entrance test which holds questions from maths and physics (class-12th). It was basically a short test of 10 questions , it was of moderate level containing questions from integration, differentiation , matrices and determinants and some questions of quantum physics. Certain documents were asked for registration such as identity and marksheet of 10th and 12th standard.
