Likes
- Scenic campus. In between mountains, AQI is great.
- Cafee and local food stalls are great. Almost everything is available in the locality till 3am.
- Delhi NCR students are in majority. no pressure.
Dislikes
- Lack of communication between administration and students.
- No such social life simce youre located 45mins away from the Dehradun city.
- Transport conveyance is expensive and is mostly 2 wheeler.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum, Foreign Trade, is inclusive of Logistics, econometrics, trade, operations and other courses in the elective program. 30 classes per course each semester and every sem has different courses. The concept of Midsem examination should be improved.
Internships Opportunities
Social internship is mandatory before the 2nd sem, although it's not stipendary. Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Import Export companies do come with stipendary opportunities for students with the main objective of Business and Sales Development. inclusive of Referral Based Earning.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for Internship Opportunities and thereby placements in the 4th sem. Marketing and Sales internships are offered more. The package for BBA Ft this year was at the highest, 11lakhs CTC pa. almost every sales and marketing student shall be placed. I might go for MBA after my course completion
Fees and Financial Aid
tuition fee per semester ranges from 1.3Lakhs to 1.85 lakhs, increasing every semester. The cost of Industrial Visit is also inclusive in the 2nd sem fee. there are various scholarships for Sports quota, Uttarakhand domicile, Merit Based scholarships and scholarships for girls. including everything, it should cost anything between 15 to 17lakhs for 3 years
Campus Life
Spandan, a sports fest held every year for 5 days is held every year wherein faculty and students come together in teams and compete in various sports across schools. Dholida is held right before Diwali and Karwachauth season for dandiya. library has a vast variety of genres. The Multi Activity Centre offers Pool, snooker, Air Hockey, table tennis and gym. Crocket nets are present with a pitch and 4 to 6 goal posts at the ground. student run groups are great in the School of Business in particular. smart projectors and presentations are used for every course program teaching since books are not needed.
Hostel Facilities
2 bed sharing room Non AC with attached washroom is recently built. Great accommodation. Menu changes every 15 days of the month , non veg js given twice for dinner per week. Hostel is Affordable. Laundry is free of cost. 1 cupboard, 1 study, 1 bed and a shelf is provided at the 6th floor of the hostel building
Admission
10+2 student passouts can apply for BBA UG degree at UPES. Forms will be available on the UPES website around March every year. Application for the UPES ET EXAM UPESMET-UG(Exam for Management Undergrad courses) Entrance exam is pretty easy. should be cleared with basic arithmetic and reasoning solving logic.
Interview Experience
An assistant from the enrollment dept gets in touch with you to brief you with the process. Only a written test namely, UPESMET-UG is taken in online mode. prepare from any logical reasoning books. I would suggest Arihant guide book.
