Likes

Campus is so good and beautiful hostel life of SMVDU is good local market experience is also very good except for studies experience
Some clubs are also very good in SMVDU like astronomy club music club
Sports culture also very energetic and good

Dislikes

Admin department takes very long make simple decision
Highers ups don't listen to students and ignore their issues
Some rules need to be changed like if a person is ill or injured he still to maintain 75%attendence medical is not allowed in order to sit in exams

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college firstly need to build our separate department we have to sit in other departments rooms for our classes lack of lab instruments and theoretical knowledge is more than practical knowledge so need to work on practical basis also

Different intership opportunities are available in our college Our first internship was provided by our college in jammu smart City Ltd project. Final industrial training opportunities are also available you have to apply for them like SRM takes alot of students from our college for industrial training

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college tution feels.for all b.tech courses is 66000 and 18000 anual fees and remaining 24000 and 23000 hostel and mess fees l. If students score more than 8.5 cgpa in a semester he/she will not have to pay tution fees for next semester

Campus Life

Campus life is so good hostel life is so good Library have maximum numbers of books so far available with exception of some that are not available sports culture is good lack of little sports resources like basketball court is not managed well Plenty of clubs but not enough resources to run them have to work on them also

Hostel Facilities

Small hostel rooms sufficient for 1 person Mess food not so good but 1 day in a month they make a special meal remaining days same daal Registration of hostel is simple wardens and caretaker are friendly

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

The course that I have opted for needs 88 percentage in 12 boards and you can also come with your Jee mains score admission process was not so difficult but 1 things i didn't like that college administration take whole fees in 1 go and don't give long time for fees submission

My opinion about nit

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

My best college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The positive of this college is that the environment is academic friendly and there is a level of strictness maintained by the college authorities. Lack of modern infrastructure and absence of various general and academic facilities hampers the ideal college life of balancing the knowledge and enjoying the college time.

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Remarks:

Little partiality with some students and once teachers find u little mis behaving, They start hating u And give u good marks, Not a good infrastructure and not a good campus view. Very much constrution needed. And very less courses Offered.

As I didn't applied for any other college and one of the reasons I chose this college because it is near to my home and better education policy. Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
