Likes

I loved the campus a lot. It has a lush green campus and peace which gives you inner relief of living here
The location of the college i.e. at the bottom of the temple provides you the spirituality in the air.
The staff of Mechanical engineering is too good for us. They support us in every thin and thick situations.

Dislikes

Inconvenience of having the market around us .
No Online services provided here(Swiggy ,Zomato ,Mcd etc).
Addition of subjects to the courses which are of no use in the future.

There is only one person who has influenced a lot of students not just of our branch but of the all branches I.e. The Balbir Singh Sir ,The Dean of this college which had an impact on us. The First year courses must be improved as Biology is in no use for cs students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty good as students from all over the country can afford it without any hesitation. The scholarship policy is also pretty good for students getting lower rank in Jee and Cuet.

Campus Life

This college is a must for you if you are good at curriculum activities. This campus provides you a lot of greenery and peace. It is also at the bottom of Vaishno Mata Mandir which enhances its beauty. The clubs in the campus is too good providing you exposure to the big stages.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities provided are too good . It has a Wardrobe which I'd quite strong and has the capacity to easily store your clothes and even personal belongings which can be fit into the locker present in the wardrobe. A table ,a chair, A LAN provider and a bed too. The meal is pretty average . Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is worse. But still a good experience. The registration process for hostel and mess is too good . No inconvenience provided by the staff.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

It is easier for you to get into this college with both Josaa and csab Counselling. And you can also get the Top branch if you are coming from Cuet exam. The college admission process is pretty good. The staff doesn't provide inconveniences to you. The exams scheduled in the campus is pretty good. Their way of taking exams relaxes or doesn't give you extreme pressure. The area of improvement must be the mess and the hostel facilities.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

Dislikes

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
