IBS Hyderabad - A Place for those who are not good at aptitudes.

The curriculum is designed in a very practical way which really helps you to work in competitive and hectic situations. You really dont get time to prepare for the examinations. Talking about the subjects, they are very similar to what other business schools teaches, but case studies are something which creates difference. The faculties are also very decent, but as there are huge intake, so there are also good number of teachers, and not all of them are excellent, but you can manage it with self-studies.

To be very blunt, college will not provide very good internship opportunities to every student, if you try to get it yourself through LinkedIn or some other places, it will be good for you. Yes, the college provides internships to everyone, but most are sales, hardly 20-30% of the students get good internships. The case is not the same with placements, placement opportunities in the college is good.

The placements are decent, but as you pay around 20 lakhs rupees, you don't get much of return on investment. In finance, you get some really good placement in various multinational companies offering very good roles and very good packages. In Marketing, most of the roles offered here are sales, but yes few companies comes for the roles like Market Research and Digital Marketing. The placement cell of this college is really hard-working, and tries their best to get all the students placed every year. Also if you are clear with your basics, your communication skills are also decent, you will certainly get placements. This college helps you in networking as there is huge intake, so when you will be switching jobs, your IBS networks will help you.

If I talk about the fees during 2022-2024 batch it was 378400 per semester, and overall the fees was 19,03,000 including the hostel and mess as it is a residential program. If someone is performing exceptionally well in the IBSAT exam and the presentation, they get some scholarships as well, but it is very uncertain. Also if someone maintains a very good CGPA throughout the curriculum, they get some cashback along with the security deposits. The employment opportunities are really good if we see the number of students. Maintaining 10.5LPA average package for a college having more than 1100 students is not an easy task, but yes, you need to be competitive in order to get good placements.

The campus life in IBS Hyderabad is very enjoyable as you get all the facilities like an indoor stadium, Cricket ground, football ground, volleyball court, tennis court, basketball court, music room, and whatnot. As the number of students is more, the social life is exceptionally good, but if we talk about the facilities available outside the campus, it is really poor. You don't have enough options to purchase goods that you need for daily use. There is a shop named Balaji, which has made a monopoly, and sells goods at very high prices. Talking about the classrooms, they are really good, and the club culture is also exceptionally good.

Hostel rooms are good as you don't need to share room with any one, and you get your private rooms, but in some cases, the rooms are not up to the mark. They provide a balcony, a table, a chair, and storage, and wifi along with the room, also in most of cases you need to share washrooms, but if you have some medical issues, you will get rooms with attached washrooms but in different blocks. In the house, lifts are available, but it work really slow. Also in the hostel, there is a facility of night canteen, which is really beneficial for students.

The application process of IBS Hyderabad is quite easy, as all we need to do is to fill out some basic forms which include IBSAT exam form, if someone is not willing to appear in IBSAT exam, he/she can show their CAT or CMAT scores. This IBSAT entrance exam consists of som basic aptitude questions, which is similar to SNAP exam. The fun part is that everyone who appears in this exam gets call for the next round. The next round is the Presentation round, where you need to score minimum 80-85 percentile to convert IBS hyderabad. One thing which I dont like about this process is that, they call everyone who appears in IBSAT entrance exam for the next round, and if someone has poor presentation skills they face difficulties to convert this college.
