Course Curriculum Overview

5

Talking about relevance of course curriculum so I would rate 9/10 because what we are getting to learn here will directly going to help when we will join the industry as a professional. There is some areas of improvement needed in terms of course. Personally what I believe is we got too many subjects to cover in just 3 months of a trimester that needs to reduced. Teaching methodology is very well designed. Talking about frequency of exam:- in every 3 months there will a term end exam and the difficulty level is moderate which is also subjective. Depending upon the capability of the student. Faculty members of this college are very professional, they are experts in their area of teaching and they teach really well. So overall as course wise this college offers a very good deal for the students coming or looking to join.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities are also same like campus placement. They give everyone the opportunity to get first hand experience of working with companies to get the learnings. As I am first year student so I still don't have any internship experience but talking with my seniors I got some idea that it's very interesting that the companies offers such big roles to the students. Even after they are students they are getting main roles like Underwriting, Broking, Claims and others

Placement Experience

5

Campus placement is Excellent of NIA Pune. Each and every student got placed from our senior batch that is of 22-24 batch. Not only students get employment through Campus placement but they also get employment through pre placement offers provided by the company in which they have completed their internship. For being eligible to sit in the campus placement you should clear you 1st year with no backlogs and then you will be allowed to sit in the campus placement process. The companies are segregated on the days basis depending upon the package they offers to the students. 100% students get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee of the college is increased this year but it doesn't indicate that it will increase every year. In the last 6 year it has been increased from 943000 to 1100000 for 2 year Post Graduation Diploma in Management course. Talking about hostel fee it is 350000 for two years. Scholarships they do provide. The college prepares a Merit list on the basis of Composite scores of the students who get selected for the admission and the top 5 students get full fee waiver of the PGDM course only, hostel fee they will have to manage by themselves. And apart from this they also have scholarships for those students who made it to top based on cumulative scores 1st year which includes 3 trimester. Campus employment opportunity is very high as NIA,Pune provides 100% placement since inception. So no worries they will give you ample chances and assistance to get placement.

Campus Life

5

Overall campus experience is amazing. The college is having 32 Acre of lush green campus and looks very beautiful even after spending so many months in the campus it still gives the same vibe as you have entered into the campus for the first time. Talking about events:- There are different events that keep happening in every month like in the beginning of the course you will have HR Summit in which the HR and leaders of the industry come to the campus and discuss about the current and future industry scenario and in the next month The insurance summit takes place and so on. NIA also organise annual fest named Manthan every year. Manthan is a technical and Cultural fest of the NIA Pune where you will have a lot of fun. There are lots of committee is available so that every student will get into one committee and try to learn

Admission

For being eligible for this 2 year PGDM program you should have more than 50% marks in your 10, 12th and Graduation. Application form is available on the official Website of NIA, Pune and the application fee is 1500 and dates are open to apply right now. The only reservation benefits you get is that your cutoff for entrance examination is slightly lower than the General category students. Cut off for General Category students for different entrance examination for 2024-2026:- CAT-75 percentile XAT-85 percentile CMAT-95 percentile Cut off for Reserved Category students for different entrance examination for batch 2024-2026:- CAT-71.25 XAT- 80.75 CMAT- 90.25 The exam happenes on trimester basis. There are total 6 trimester for the entire course and each trimester end in 3 months with the term end examination. The passing CGPA for trimester is 4.5 and difficulty level of exam is moderate. Overall it is smooth process of admission in NIA from GDPI to taking admission into college.

Interview Experience

5

When I applied for NIA, Pune there were no GD rounds i sat directly in the Personal Interview round based on my entrance exam score. They ask some questions in the interview like Intro, question related to your educational background, some personal questions like interest and hobbies. Apart from this they ask Why Insurance?, Why NIA types of questions. This year they will also have GD and then PI so please be well prepared if you are really interested to come to this college. Make sure you must have more than or minimum 50% score in your Graduation and you have cleared the entrance exam cutoff. Don't just try to touch the cutoff because the competition is too high to have bare minimum cutoff. So try to get more percentile than the cutoff this will eventually help you in improving your composite score and will increase the chances of selection. Start searching about insurance industry that will definitely gonna help in GD as well as PI.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
