Course Curriculum Overview
The present curriculum provides me with vast knowledge regarding the field of business and ease of doing any business which influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum contains case-based studies that prepare me for how to deal with real-world applications and it also helps for further my academic pursuits. The Course Curriculum can be improved to an extent by adding some more realistic business situations. The teaching methods are good. The timing and frequency of exams are fine but it is not match the length of answers to be written since the question paper pattern requires a large number of words in answers that are hard to write within the given time.
Fees and Financial Aid
Basically, for many years there are not any increase policy in tution fees. The complete three years course of B.Com.(hons) adds to 67,500 (since mine college is one of the BHU affiliates)including tution fees and other miscellaneous charges. Basically, I don't know about any scholarships provided by the university to its students but there is a state scholarship named UP Scholarship that is available for students but only for those who belong to UP itself.
Campus Life
One of the annual festivals that is being organised in BHU is Kashiyatra basically in the middle of January and the technical fest is being organised in IIT-BHU known as Technex also in month of January. There are many books and journals that are made accessible to the students on campus but at a time one can access only two of those. The classrooms are properly ventilated with ample amounts of light, LEDs, fans and switchboards for charging purposes as well, and the classroom is provided with technological provisions like Wi-Fi connection and Projector as well. Our college campus annually organises sports events for different sports like kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, basketball, etc. along with extracurricular activities like NCC, NSS, Swimming, Mountaineering, etc. one of the student-run-social groups in BHU is ABVP(Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad) this social group provides students a platform to raise their voice against the mis functioning and other acts of university.
Admission
To get admission to the BHU. I go through an entrance test that is CUET UG( Common University Entrance Test for undergraduates). the eligibility criteria for the course (b.com.hons) that I opted for is different for different universities but for BHU one must have language (mine was the English language), more than two domains ( I chose Business Studies, Economics and accountancy)and also General Test. I found the application form on the official website of UGC with an application fee of Rs1300 and sorry but I am not sure about my application dates. The timing of exams is very convenient mine was in the afternoon (second shift). Basically, if we talk about the difficulty level. the entrance was not so tough ..like it's easy for any average student to go through it. I just want one improvement in the whole admission process It is the delay the do in the admission process because due to the late admission the semester exams are contracted to 3 months except 6 months which creates a burden.
