Remarks

TMI at time could be too strict and disciplined about their approach to academics, as well as the behavior of the cadets. This may affect the cadets vision about their future in the particular field.

Entrance Preview

I chose Marine engineering as a profession for its diversifying field world and the adventurous life that one can lead. Now there are many Maritime college in India but what made TMI stand out from other is about its ethics, well educated faculty members, and excellent placement record. TMI could never be compared to any other Maritime college as it's well holding of the students is par more than any other college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is a bit tedious. A cadet has to atleast study for 2 hour a day to get good percentage to be placed in a top class company. The course curriculum isn't only limited to Marine subject but also include general engineering education and personality building subjects.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides us with campus placement from leading merchant navy companies. The average stipend or salary that a cadet gets is about 300$ going on till 940$. It depends upon the cadets caliber for secure good placement.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is 100%. even the back years and E graders also get placed as the institution founder also has the shipping company tolani shipping. The companies that come to TMI for placements are top notch and and leading world Maritime companies. Without a doubt I can say that TMI has the best placement record ever.

College Events

4.5

The events celebrated in the college would be transtech and horizon. Trastech is an event where cadets form different institutes as well as TMI'S own cadets take part in to present papers on different advancement in the Maritime industry. Where as in horizon there are different cultural as well as physical tournaments in which the cadets take part in to obtain first position.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at TMI is straight up costly. Buts if we are talking about the things and facilities that we are getting in return them I would say that it is okay. The institute provides with the best placement, campus, accommodation and food. And if you really ask me that is it worth it then I would say YES.

Fees and Financial Aid

Huge amount of scholarship is provided by college to the students depending upon their performance in academics and sports .

Campus Life

5

The campus life is ossum. The people come here from all parts of india. I'm proud to say that we have a diversified and well disciplined group of individuals. Gender ratio here is a bit bizzare for 220 male cadets in each batch there are about 5-6 female cadets.

Hostel Facilities

4

the hostel facilities and mess food is good. The accommodation is 2 cadets per room. The rooms are big enough and have excellent ventilation. The in house staff is also excellent as they keep the washrooms and corridors stainless and speck. I would rate it a solid 5.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are very helpful yeah they told us to do a little bit of work like giving the laundry etc but yeah they helped us a lot in studying getting placement finally throw us a big parties also.

Exam Structure

There are, in the imu curriculum, about 4 class tests and one end semester exam. The class test are there for the cadet to examine his or her standing on the academic and to be able to improve themselves. The examination are not so easy to clear. The cadet must be well knowledgeable to be able to clear the exam.

Admission

Initially after passing out from 12th I filled the form for imu CET and tmicet. In addition to this I had to clear an medical examination and also had to be 60% above in my 12th board. Keep well in mind that just securing 60%above in 12th won't help you as there are many other student all across India who are sitting for this admission.

Faculty

5

The faculty at TMI is too motch. They always help and motivate us to secure the first rank. The faculty at TMI is experienced and well educated. They also help us build a good morale and confidence so that after passing out of here we could stand out from the rest of the world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
