What Students Say

Likes

I like friends which I have made in my college.

Dislikes

Management of my college is very bad in all terms.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Since I've got 42000 rank in my Jee main 2022 and I was not getting good branch in any other government college so I researched about good colleges for pursuing B.Tech then I got to know about my college HBTU .

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

For internship it depends on the students that what qualities and what skills they have developed. I've worked as an intern in my college E cell club. I have worked for them for more than 2 months and got certificate.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for placements and internship from third year.. Placement is good for all core and non core branches. It was good for CS and IT few years ago but due to recession it's placement are not good these days.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college fees which includes tution fees, test fees and all other fees excluding hostel fees is Rs.135000 And my hostel fees which includes hostel and mess is Rs.61000 I've applied for UP scholarship in 2023 and this year also.

Campus Life

3.5

Our college has different clubs for each purpose which includes cultural, technical and hobby which are responsible for fest . Every sub council has its own fest and cultural has biggest fest among them .

Hostel Facilities

According to me in my hostel only rooms are good and all other facilities lack such as cleanliness, etc. And for food it is only as good as to fill out tummy nither it is good nor it is healthy to eat .

Hostel Fee: INR 61000 per year

Admission

I've done my counselling for HBTU , as I have given JEE Main. I've given JEE mains more than 5 times as it was during covid period. I've got 42000 rank in my last attempt through which I got HBTU Kanpur.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

My collage identity

This college is the 2nd best B.Tech college in UP after IIT and its placement is also good. One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. Since my rank was 10 lakh, my admission also happened in the sports round....Read More

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
