I've chosen 4 yrs BTech program program in ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION engineering which is in High demand as the semiconductor and telecommunication industries are in high use. Therefore the overall course curriculum and scope after graduation is great

Though I don't have enough knowledge about internship programmes here but many companies visit here and provide internship facilities. Companies like TCS , Axis Bank, Alstom , Oracle, Asian Paints , Tata visit here

Placement Experience

Students can opt for placements from 7th semester , Companies like Google, Facebook, Alstom, BHEL, JIO, POWERGRID, Capgemini, Etc visit here and offer good placements for eligible students. For my course average package is around 13 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is around 62500 per semester for General students with income above 5 lacs per annum, they get 2/3rd remission on their tuition fees if their annual income is between 1-5 lacs, and below 1 lacs they get full tuition fee remission. SC,ST, PwD students get full tuition fee remission irrespective of their annual income. The hostel fee is same for everyone which is about 26000 per semester. There are several scholarship programmes based on merit, students can explore and apply after joining the college.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is great. There are annual Cultural fest called MOKSHA, Technical fest called AYAAM, and may other small fests are held throughout the year, There are many clubs like Debate, Drones, Coding, Literacy, Basketball etc. All the clubs are well maintained and active students can actively participate in these clubs and gain social interaction

Hostel Facilities

1st Year And 3rd year students stay in RNT hostel and 2nd and 4th year students accomodate in ARYABHATTA hostel. RNT hostel is much better and modern. There is every facility a student need to accommodate like GEYSER, WATER COOLER, LIFT etc. Mess menu for 1st year students is kind of okaish ,, but it'll get better eventually. After paying hostel fees students can self allot hostel rooms from.the college information website

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Admission into any NITs is done by JOSAA Counselling process. One has to appear in the JEE MAIN examination and after securing a good rank/clearing the cut off they apply in JOSAA COUNCELLING process there they can lock seat into ANY NITs i.e. NIT AGARTALA

All about NIT Agartala

Likes

affordable hostel fee, i.e. 30k, which i think is ok for 4 months(1 sem = 4 months)
roads connects all the places in the campus
sports complex have is huge area, enough for all

Dislikes

poor electricity supply during rainy seasons
administration takes too long time to review, fix or maintain things

Placement Experience:

As the NIRF ranking is going high year by year, companies are coming less and giving less preffer to NITA, Previous 2 years CSE, ME, CE students got 99% placement of avg. 8 LPA and one student got 1.2 cr off campus.

There are wifi in the hostel. There no power cuts too so it's a good thing
There is no limit to water supply as well
The campus is clean and the classrooms too

Dislikes

The mess food is alright no that good edible only
The timing to go outside the campus is pretty short
There are no restaurant or cafe outside the campus

Placement Experience:

The placement for b.tech is not that bad because there are many companies come to hire freshly passed b.tech students and there is a placement department to help the students to get a job. The average package is around 5lpa

My College Experience

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There we're.companies like TechMahindra, TCS, Boltmetric etc. Highest ever package was of 8 lakh pa And average package was 3 lakh pa Almost 40% students get places I got placed in one of the companies but due to family reasons couldn't join as going far from home was not possible. So now I'm preparing for government jobs and bank jobs.

Mess will need to be improve and some stuff is missing in our workshop like instruments
My engagement of my college faculty are good but some time the behaviour like rude
Faculties are good but sometimes if ee need to understand something then they do not properly guide us

Dislikes

The admission cell well rude behaviour if we not paid our addmission fee due time
College building sometime dirty but the employee are force to the student for cleaning
The AC is not work properly when its much needed at summer time

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because of I select the electrical engineer branch because of I need to learn something as a electrical engineer. The curriculum is good as per the electrical domain because we get all the benifits from the college. Some workshop will need to be improve

NIT Agartala review from final year student

Likes

Branch teachers are mostly chill with classes etc.
The campus is very big. Greenery is present in almost the whole campus.
Good companions from different parts of the country.

Dislikes

Fests doesn't occurs on time due to internal problems.
Buildings are far from the gate which might create issues.
There is no such dislikable thing in college rather than the two.

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campsuing from the 7th semester. As of now (december 2024) this year we got Google, oracle, HP, Visa, Tekion, phonepe and many other companies . Highest package was 48LPA and average will be like 10. Almost 50% student got placed till date and companies are constantly visiting campus. My plans: I might go for higher education through GATE exam.

As i am in a lush green campus, that's why the view is amazing. You will fall in love with pure air and view of nit Agartala.
NIT agartala has one of the biggest library amongst all north east institutes and colleges. This institute also provides a huge sports complex.
Teacher and other faculty members are also very supportive to different person from different languages.

Dislikes

This institutes is very far away from the main city. there is not such a proper connection to the city.
Being a vegetarian, it is very difficult to find proper veg food although college has its shopping complex but it also provides very less vegetarian food.
Sometimes hostel mess food is very bad in taste.

Placement Experience:

placements are moderate in this college. many seniors got an opportunity of internship in google and different prestigious companies. you can be eligible for internships and placements in 5th semester. i thing highest pacake if 70 lakh from google and 12 lakh is average package from computational mathematics branch. and recently 22 lakh package has been taken by our senior by phonep company. i just want an internship in my 3rd year in an tech company and want to get placed in the 4th year. I thing above 90% students get placed in our college

There are several benifits of reading in this college like the low fee and flexibility of opting for cast benifits and also support to economically backward students.
The college aslo provides scholarship facilities to almost every students and it's very much beneficial for students.
The faculty is highly educated and skillful and some of them are quite eager to teach others about what they know.

Dislikes

The administration is quite slow in performing just the simple tasks and sometimes it's frustrating.
The lab facilities in the college is not upto mark as it lacks modern equipments to perform the tasks.
Some of the professors are not that willing to show their interest in teaching the students.

Placement Experience:

The students becomes eligible for placement in their 4th year. There are several companies that visit and gives placements like Capgemini and TCS. Most of the jobs provided are related to the IT field. Students must acquire more than 7 cgpa to be able to sit for placements.

Solid academic foundation with great industry exposure

I chose NIT Agartala primarily because of its reputation as a National Institute of Technology and the specific opportunities within the Production Engineering department. While I looked at other NITs and some private universities, NIT Agartala offered a better balance of ROI and industry recognition. The admission process was smooth, handled entirely through JoSAA/CSAB based on my JEE Main rank. The eligibility required clearing the cutoff and having a good percentage in the 12th boards. Compared to other colleges I applied to, the infrastructure and the core placement track record here were the deciding factors. i choose this collage because this collage is in my home state, and for me going somewhere else, out of stste will be a problem finencially. I have applied to other collages and i was selected, even i got admited but after the main result i got in NITA, although i have not thought of getting here as my rank was in lakhs. Eyeopener

It is long journey of hard work how i get in this college and course . First I qualified JEE main but not got good rank so I got Biotech branch in NIT Agartala according to my rank . But I studied well in first year and scored a high CGPA and slided my branch to Mechanical . I have in all top NITs but not got a ceat there . Admission is only through JEE main rank .
