Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. Too much avilability for compiters (as an IT frsher). 2. The college also arrranges regular seminar for the students for some clear directions. 3. They can make some classes for 1 hour rather than 2. so that the students don't get bored. 4. College offers us much time to prepare for the exams. and the timing for each exams are pretty justified.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Faculties didn't tell about any type of fee in crease policy till now. 2. Total of little more of 3 lacks for 3 years for all type of educational services (pass degree). 3. Many financial aids are offered by college.eg: students can get scholerships in admission test, Reservation cut offs in fees are also justified. 4. Sudents can get various works in college. like campus representation, counciler, even faculty. They can also participate as volentiars in various events and functions.

Campus Life

3.5

1.College offers Yearsly fastivals,Inter college sports or gaming competition and many more. They also offer future vista seminars for students of all cources, for a cleas direction of the couse(gets held basically in april). 2. Our college Have one of the Best and Biggest library in any other college and it has proportionally 1.5 lakhs of books(also written in college website). In the campus, where ever you see, theres a ton of books. 3. The faculties are great and the devices which we get are high end configurations. 4. Campus offers different types of inter college sports challengrs, we can also get soft skill classes. 5. Students can take participate in in any college voluntary and can also get in higher roles, like junior secretary.

Admission

1. It didn't require any high count marks, just needed atleast 60% marks in HS boards. 2. can simply find all those in the official website of the college.(ilead kolkata) 3. As resarvation benifits college offers a little cut off in college fees. 4. Lot of assignments but not so stressful.Genarraly managable with good study havits, and supports fron faculties. 5. Theres some class for up to 2 hours, whick leads students to boredom. If the faculty can make those classes for 1 hours in multiple days, it can be better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus and curriculum of Calcutta University is aligned with other entrance examination (eg.IIT JAM, JEST, TIFR, GATE etc.) Specially for the Physics BSc course. And the syllabus is updated Artificial intelligence bacis, Python Advance level is in syllabus, it's completed in college. Point to be Noted - The time given to prepare for the exam is sometimes ample but sometimes it is very less. So we have to prepare syllabus in time which is little bit frustrating.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Reviewed on Dec 17, 2024(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.
