Likes
- Things i like is of course placement as 80% of students are placed last year in campus placements. The highest package offered is 20 lakh and the least is 3 lakh per annum
- Faculty is best and well trained and also they are knowledgeable
- New building recently has been built which is a 7 floor smart building
Dislikes
- 75% attendance is what i dislike as they detain students if their attendance is less than 75%
- Also the college is very strict and very much focusing on curriculum studies and not giving practical exposure
- Placements are poor in pharmacy branch. The maximum package at KIET College of pharmacy is 8 lakh per annum. Internships are available but not at good companies
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is old and not designed as per industry standards. They take exams every 25 days and want us to study 1 night before and score well in exams. 40 percent marks are required to pass the exam and the exam is decent on the difficulty level. Coding culture is average and the semester exam is not that hard and is easy to pass in the semester exam it requires 30/100 marks to pass in it. Area of improvement can be to increase practical project-based learning not only theory
Placement Experience
KIET College has good placements and 80% of students are placed in multiple companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant etc. But because of latest tech companies layoffs trends hiring is not so good in KIET. Some companies are there, but they are not getting good college in the campus
Fees and Financial Aid
My tuition fee is 112099, the Registration fee is 2000, Medical and accidental insurance is 700, and Career planning and student development costs 7,500, totaling 122299. Fees do not increase as such. Scholarships have been provided by UP Government which is 56000rs to OBC Category
Campus Life
The clubs in Kiet College are in various domains. The most popular ones are ERP, Innogeeks, TedX, Phoenix, DSDL, Creative Cell, TBI, Uddeshya, Interstellar, and many more Dance, Song, and Public speaking and technology-based clubs
Admission
The student should come from jee counseling and have scored a good rank on that probably under 2.5 lakh rank for good branches. 15% quota of admission is through direct admission based on 12th and 10th marks. College is been allotted through Jee Counselling and students have to go to report in the college on their reporting date to register themselves.
Faculty
The teachers are very knowledgeable and highly trained. However, they are not highly skilled as per the latest trend of the AI and ML era. They have done P.H.D. But they take exams every 25 days and this is very hectic for the students as they cannot focus on the tech stack on which they are working. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60 which seems to be not less when we are taking lectures. Some faculty are helpful and some are not
