Remarks

Overall an average college with just positive response for scholarship and placements. College management is quite rude. They don't even listen to your problem and make you stand for hours. Even the sweeper ladies behave like women in fish market. If you

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE in 2014 exam in which I managed to score 73 marks. I got 85% in my boards. I wanted to opt for computer course as I had computer subject in my 11th and 12th class and was comfortable with the subject. I went for this college as travelling would be less and I would get more time to study at home. Admission process was done conveniently and a short interview was taken by the principal and he seemed sarcastic and strict but the principal has changed now and the new principal is quite calm and lineant.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose computer as my course. Though in the first year all departments are mixed and everyone has the same subjects. First semester gonna be little tough 'cause your new to all these. Mechanics and BEE are the subjects you gotta pay more attention to. Second semester will not be that tough though students find difficulty in the subjects ED and SPA. You can clear the rest subjects with some efforts. Try your best not to get a KT in any subject because it will be burden for you in the next semester where you've already got 6 subjects to deal with. 5 KTs in a year will lead you to DROP.

Internships Opportunities

As I'm in just in second year and I've not been provided with any internship yet. But you can approach the faculty anytime with any such query. However I've heard from many of my seniors about the internship. But I've no knowledge about it in details.

Placement Experience

4

Being one of the old institution, this college has quite a good record of placement. Eligible students are offered placements at some of the best companies like TCS,Essar, Polaris,HCL,LG,Sahara. This year many students got placed around 70%. Salaries offered is quite decent. Some got a package of around 2.5Lakhs while some even got 5Lakh package. Average salary offered is 3-3.5Lakh. If you are a bright student be sure about your bright future. If you are not and have no idea about engineering and unfortunately if you don't get placed by any company, don't blame the college for it.

College Events

4

Tantra is the technical event celebrated. Many students take part in it some as organisers some as alumni some as participant. FESA is another event celebrated where the first year students take in charge. Fresher's party is also given to FE students by the SE students. Dance music talent show food DJ night frehers party is all about that. The annual event of the college is FUSION which celebrated on a grand level. Sportivo is the sports fest which is enjoyed thoroughly, all the departments compete with each other to get the first place. Apart from these the popular 'days' are also celebrated i.e saree day traditional day rose day chocolate day etc etc which is managed by the Cultural Secretary.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well as usual its very much feasible for the caste people. Obc category pay 50% of what open category pays. SC and ST people hardly pay 10k and even get scholarship over it. General category pays around 1Lakh for a year though the fee structure is different in different year. But for such average infrastructure its totally not worth 1Lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has very good scholarship scheme. This is one of the reasons to join the college. If the student scores more than 8 pointer 10% of is cutoff from the total fees similarly more than 9 pointer will get 50% off and 9.5 above will get 100% scholarship. Also there's scholarship for minority category and people belonging to EBC (Economically Backward Class) category.

Campus Life

3

Boy to girl gender ratio is quite good. Since its an engineering college so the ratio had to be like that but girls have outshined in every field. Extracurricular activities happen on a large scale. Be it be sports cultural technical.College ground for playing basketball and football is available, not that huge but still students enjoy playing there(out of option may be). There is no religion or caste biasing. However you'll find a tons of Marathi people over here. Both among the students and the faculty. Students prefer to talk in Marathi most of the time. And even the teachers starts teaching in Marathi sometimes in the middle of the lecture.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Firstly they don't have many food items in their menu and the ones they have are not being prepared properly. Sometimes you find it tasty the other day the same dish is So this makes me think that the chef is quite moody. Although you can have something f

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very friendly and helpful. You can easily get along with them. I got to work with my seniors during a college festival and have made many friends during that time. You can also ask them for opinion about any matter.

Exam Structure

Its never chilled out when you are doing engineering, from assignments to exams hectic as hell. Internal exams are taken seriously well it has to be because it adds up to your final score. Hell lot of assignments are given with no use, students copy it fr

Faculty

3.5

This college has a mixed standard of faculties. Some have very good knowledge of their subject some have average. Faculty is helpful only if you cooperate,if you don't then you are in their bad books already. Some are even partial at times and target part

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
